I used to love staying at home. Yeah, very much a home buddy. During weekends, I'd always wake up later than usual and would always consider my extra time in bed as indulgence.

Working 5 days a week and 8 hours a day would take its toll on me. This is unusual since back in college, sleep is always a deprivation. Luckily, I didn't have insomnia.

Things aren't very normal at home anymore, so I usually spend time outdoors these days. I always find reasons to go outside: go out with friends, visit my sister, watch a movie, go hiking or head towards the beach. Everything but staying at home.

In the past I look forward to weekends, now, I find time to be flying so fast, I always look forward on Mondays.

Yeah, things have changed. I've changed.

I miss those solemn moments at home. But staying out does wonders to me and my wellbeing.

So, are you an in person, or out?

I'm an in person.  Maybe I would be more of an out person if I had better health, I don't know.  But I've always been most comfortable at home, around all my "stuff".

Hello MissMimi... I understand. There's nothing like staying and enjoying every moment at home, doing what you love doing best. =)

I'm more of an in person these days. I love to go on movie marathons and stay in bed during the weekends. Since work takes most of my time, I make it  a point that I rest at home, may it be my mom's house or at my apartment. LOL

One of my favorite things to do at home when its raining outside is reading a novel while sipping that hot mug of coffee. Yum!

    Cheers

i'm go-go-going so much, that the best free time nowadays is spend lounging around the house or curled up with a good book or movie...

lioness- The vast portion of my life was definitely as an out person. I pretty much went home when I had to. I love having a home, but home has a quality that always bored me. In the last few years I've come to appreciate being home more but it still bores me to a large extent.

My wife is more of a homebody than me, but also feels that boring quality and likes to be out a lot.
  • evil_twin said on Nov 19, 2007....
I prefer to stay in most of the time. I do like being outside and going places, but I also enjoy just hanging out at home. I'm a homebody. And whenever I'm out, I always seem to look forward to going home. I'd much rather have friends over to my house than to go out someplace with them.

i'm definitely an out person, even if there are periods when i'm obliged to work at home, which is all right with me too if my escape valves remain open :-)

  • quietone said on Nov 19, 2007....
I am so much an "in" person.  I know it makes one feel more refreshed being and doing things outside...I do that occasionally.
  • lisamay said on Nov 19, 2007....
I am surprised so many are "in"
    so i had to respond.
Im "in" much more than i would like.
I love being in the outdoors. Hiking, walking, playing with the puppies, or just hanging out somewhere under a tree.
So im much more the "out" person.
    even in bad weather .

Winter more in, Summer in and out, Fall out more and Spring out too. I met someone who keeps me in allot tho........
  • rupert7 said on Nov 19, 2007....
Maybe there is something wrong with me! My wife thinks so! All I really want is her!! Interacting with others is an effort for me. I am a hermit by nature. The original home body am I. I resent having to go out most of the time, except for my Friday visits to the mall. (paradox here) and I resent the invasion of visitors, unless it is my nieces or Grand daughter!  So IN person for sure!
  • TinSoldier said on Nov 19, 2007....
    I'm definitely an "innie".

When I was a kid, I used to love to go out and explore the outdoors when I wasn't reading a book or watching TV. Now, most of that is gone. I wish that I still had the motivation to do that kind of stuff again.
  • Eilan said on Nov 19, 2007....
I'm probably more of an out person, though college football and my husband's storm-damage-repair projects have interfered with that a bit.
  • CreativeWoman said on Nov 19, 2007....
I'm an in, but I love going out when I can get someone to go with me.

You seem to be a very sociable person, Fallyn.. Hope everything becomes normal for you soon.

I so agree ed, the weather IS an important factor. I’d rather stay in the warmth of my bed on a cold weather.

Hey dazed, a book and a cup of coffee? What a perfect way to spend the day.

Hi queen, you didn’t mention baking! Hahaha.. It all depends on the mood huh?

That’s a very wonderful way of relaxation, secret.

beyond, does that mean you only go home to rest? It’s good that you share the fun with your wife. (oh yeah, homebody is what it’s called…my error)

Hi –evil_twin, welcome to my blog!! Yeah, I have some friends who’d invite me and other friends to come over their place too. I can so relate when you said “looking forward to going home”.  *sigh*

Hi moon, I think I know one person who’d be most happy if offices were established in open places like forests and beaches. :D

Yes quiet, hmm.. I guess the name says it all? Hehe. Spending some time outside does something good for the soul.

Hi lisamay, welcome to my blog! If only life is as simple as that.  I remember back in college, we’d always hang out under a giant mango tree and talk about anything, those were memorable times.

Wow, I love how you put that sweet_cookie. I hope you are enjoying being inside despite being “forced”?

Oh, I am not surprised mobil, I’ve read it in your posts on fish, vortex, bears, hunting, hiking.. Interesting.  I am wondering who that someone is?

Hello rupert, with a wonderful wife and family, and kookaburras and cats visiting you, who needs the outdoors? :D Seriously, what matters most is what makes you happy, even if others may think it’s weird.

Hi Tin, I am sure there would be good reasons for you to explore the outdoors again.

Hi Eilan, I guess it all boils down to availability and priorities?

I’m sure not a few would like be your companion, CW.

To everyone who visited this post, read and commented, thank you very much!!!!!! Isn’t it amazing that whether we prefer to be in or out, we all have one common ground: time to spend in SoulCast. C”,L*

thankyou lioness! and yeah....i'm an extrovert in the truest sense.
a shy one....which kinda sucks..... oh well.
  • queenparanoia said on Nov 19, 2007....
lioness. i wish i could bake all the time but my parents won't let me!!!!! too expensive raw!!!! =)
  • wombat said on Nov 19, 2007....
I'm an "out" person in good weather and when I am happy.

An "In" person in cold weather and when I am depressed.  My favorite thing to do is stay outdoors all day when it is nice out---go to the park or just sit under a tree and read.

When I am depressed, am so "in" I can't get "out" of bed.

I agree with you that "outdoors" is a healing thing  I once took an extra day of "emergency leave" just to spend it at the lake sitting still in a lawn chair--listening to the waves crash onto the little isolated shore area.  I didn't think.  I didn't cry.  I didn't do anything except let the sound do what it needed to do.  I was finally able to go back to work and re-join the real world after nearly two weeks.
  • Lioness said on Nov 19, 2007....
Fallyn, be strong!!! I am the opposite. A self-confessed introvert (based on some articles and tests)! lol

queen, whew, ingredients have become very expensive indeed!! but I think homemade delicacies are still more practical than those ordered.

hi wombat, wow, very well said. I haven't tried reading under a tree.. I once tried reading on the park and get distracted by passersby and then my mind tends to wander.  lol

Taking a momentary "break" can do wonders. I am sure when you came back you're refreshed and have regained your usual self. Hmm.. I should try that one day, I mean taking an emergency leave. Good idea. :D

  • rupert7 said on Nov 19, 2007....
Lioness......are you calling me weird Lol (smile)
  • wombat said on Nov 19, 2007....
Just get destracted, and let your mind wander....that is the point.  I guess that is why it takes all day.....
  • Lioness said on Nov 19, 2007....
Of course not Sir Rupert!!! :D I call you unique though....

Oh, I get it, wombat, thank you for explaining. You see, I always thought I didn't do my purpose whenever I fail to do what was originally planned. Haha..
  • rupert7 said on Nov 20, 2007....
Why thank you fair lady! kissing hand!

    I'm an "in" person.
    Most people would say "agoraphobic"

The crazy thing is, when it's something like a concert or a football game I am pumped and ready to Rock "n Roll!

So, I guess I'm an "In" person with serious outgoing issues!

    :D
  • Lioness said on Nov 20, 2007....
Hi there Tainted, welcome to my post and sharing your thoughts! I wonder if there are reasons why you have this type of phobia?

"an "In" person with serious outgoing issues" -- If that's the case, then it's still a balanced life, IMO.
