well, some people asked me before to post something on the colors i see when i think of certain soulcasters. because of my post on synesthesia

well, it has taken awhile to get to know some of you to feel comfortable to do that.

but just today a couple of them really stood out....and i thought it might be fun to start a list.

two of them stand out in my mind right now.

silverwhisper, seems to be blue and yellow

and the infernal optimist .........who is a pretty shade of green.

iffy.....brown.

rupert, red and brown and blue

as i think of more....i'll post more in the comments.

    Oooh, cool!

I'm green (and blue and silver) to myself as well. :) ed is burgundy, silvery-gray, and blue.

You're orange and red, Fallyn. I think as I know you better, I'll see your third color. :)

my GOD that was FAST. JEEZ.

these are only the colors as ***I*** see them....another synesthete will likely see them differently.

blue..... a connection with abstract ideas and expressing them,

    yellow.....affinity for healing

red.............passionate personality, possibly obsessive, angry temperment

green......a connection to life, growth, earth

purple..........a tendency to compare and judge, jealous nature,  covetous

white.........rule maker, judge, jury, absolute truth seeker, merciless

    black.........emotional pain,

midnight blue..........connection to the macabre, fearless and pushes taboos,

brown...........intelligence, knowledge seeker, trivia lover, fact finder

    fuchsia .........anxious, fearful, a worrier.

silver.........possessing of a sixth sense? possibly an ability to see what is not there?   i'm kinda lost on this one.....but there is definitely something there.

ferny.....what do orange and red mean? or do yours have meanings?

  • silverwhisper said on Nov 18, 2007....
dang, fallyn...i'm deeply flattered by that.

  • Fallyn said on Nov 18, 2007....
    it's just what i see ed.....seriously.
the meanings to me have been there since i started seeing the colors.....
the colors i saw for you are just there.......and they match up with the meanings to me
granted....i'd be seriously surprised if i'd seen red and black....or white or something.....but i'm not TRYING to flatter you.....it's just YOU. and what i see.

    ET....from what i can see... :P

moonriver ......blue blue blue and more blue and green. brown.
  • Fallyn said on Nov 18, 2007....
    ferny....that does suit me.....and i like it.

it's so STRANGE going by someone else's colors......cause if i was to draw on my own perceptions of red and orange.....i have no idea what orange is.....but red seems very angry to me.

for me the different shades and nuances usually have to do with a bit of a mixture of color in them.

I've seen auras before. But I have to actually be with the person and not online.

    This is cool.

only now is it starting....and i mean barely.
    starting to be fixed.
  • silverwhisper said on Nov 19, 2007....
fallyn: yes, i rather knew that. sometimes however, you need to protect yourself and if people are gonna insist that you're somehow responsible for their being angry when it isn't your fault, i say get such people out of your life.

  • pickersplock said on Nov 27, 2007....
My Dad always said that when he was really busy.  I have no idea why, he's half Irish an has a lot of odd sayings.
Yellow, I understand.  I think you're picking up Mr. Plock vibes with red!
  • Fallyn said on Nov 27, 2007....
pickers...*grin* that does tend to happen!
    i don't see it now....i see blue.
    interesting saying though. :P
  • pickersplock said on Nov 27, 2007....
That's weird, I'm feeling kind of puce right now.
  • Fallyn said on Nov 27, 2007....
puce? *laughing* no...i see no puce.

  • PassionTraveler said on Nov 27, 2007....
    Well Fallyn,

I guess the meaning depends on if you see colors melding to form new ones... like yellow and red form orange? or if you see shades of colors... but that have similar meanings....like powder blue is a softer definition of regular blue. If so, then pink is a diluted form of red -- passionate personality, possibly obsessive, angry temperament.

And if the diluted explanation holds true, I would agree that I have a lot of passion, can be a tad obsessive and have expressed anger before, but most are in moderate quantities, hence the "pink."

However, if your pink is a result of mixing red and white, then I have no idea. I don't really see myself as having much white in my makeup -- a rule maker, or a black & white absolute truth kind of person. I'm definitely a gray thinker.

You say the colors mean the following:

    • blue..... a connection with abstract ideas and expressing them
(I'm a writer and pretty good at converting the complex into layman's terminology. I would probably agree with this.)
    • red.............passionate personality, possibly obsessive, angry temperament
    • white.........rule maker, judge, jury, absolute truth seeker, merciless
If you figure pink out, let me know. Otherwise, I'm pleased as punch you put together a color analysis for me.

    PT
  • Fallyn said on Nov 27, 2007....
no.....i don't see pink as diluted........and if i did you'd have a lot of white.
it's possible......but i don't think that's what i'm seeing...cause usually it would be layers......but i don't know you very well so that may be it.

pink is one i've not been able to come up with a meaning for....i don't see it very often.
and the one i see with you is a medium pink.

i'm thinking a hot fuchsia pink means emotional anxiety.

but a regular pink, could mean something COMPLETELY different. ....it's not one i've seen before.

i may never have a meaning.
