Ok ive decided to keep a food diary by recomendation of my gynocologist.  Ive dont this in the past and it hasnt worked but she said i shoudl try everything one hundred time before i decide to go with Bariatric surgery so im going to wear out yet another attempt at losing weight.  I havnt started to "diet" yet.  First i want to realize exactly how much i eat and every day im going to review my little food diary and remove a food item until im consuming the "appropriate" amount. 
 
Alright lets see...what did i stuff my face with today...
 
Breakfast: nothing
 
Lunch: 4 slices of little ceasars canadian pineapple pizza : )
 
Dinner:  A bottle of wine : D
 
okay...not very healthy but hey.
 
Actually today i ate less than i normally do.

    i'm confused--why's your gynecologist making suggestions about your weight control? i'd think your general practitioner would be the one doing that. ?

    I have one more question ms starchini--if I respond to a comment what is the procedure? Do you have to go to the person's blog (like I did)  or can you click something and respond directly to the comment without going to the blog.
    You see I am still a "blog challenged neophyte" among other things.

    well we are diary twins then, coz I am keeping a food diary to see how to better manage diabetes...my blood sugars are unfriendly. I have to say that your diet for the day above is not that great for your body and it is even worse for your mind!
     
    Also skipping breakfast messes up your metabolism for the whole day and your body will store anything you eat after that as fat stores, because it thinks it is going into starving mode.
     
    Little Ceasars pizza with pineapple has 220 calories per slice and 8 grams of fat...so that is 880 calories and 32 grams of fat...even plain slices could save you 100 calories and 4 grams of fat...I am chasing carbs so it is a little different but I can help support your educating yourself on the nutritional values of things.
     
    There is a book called sugarbusters that will tell you about the glycemic value of foods. What I learned there is that even the fruits I was eating were the "wrong" ones due to their types of sugars and the way our bodies digest those.
     
    It is not hard to get educated about this but the real work comes from the amount of resolve you are willing to put into it! Make your list and then instead of taking stuff out, add in the many things you could be eating for the same calories and fat grams and carb grams...good luck and we can bitch together...I hate being this educated! :)

    Silver lol good question.  I really like my gyno and i dont have a Gen Prac. I go to her for everything : P.  Plus most of my health problems are with my uterus.  I dont ovulate and we think its bc of my weight. 
     
    JD-  Well when people comment on your blog you comment back on your own blog to there comment.  Like i am doing.  Then you subscribe to people/blogs you like by hitting the subscribe button next to there name then you can read there blogs regularly and comment however you would like.  If you want to  you can set up your account so that you are notified when people comment on a post that you commented on.  Thats usually when the little chats occur...i hope i answered your question. 
     
    Mamie your funny.  Yea i too am above average in nutritional knowledge.  I just dont follow it : P  I ususally eat rather healthy i just eat way too much.  Thats why i wanted to take some things out.  Yea i know little ceasars isnt healthy but whatever : )  Ill have to read your food diary we can diet err change our lifestyles together! fun
