What do you think of soul cast? Is this a bona fide blog site? Or simply a glorified chat room in slow motion?
How many actual bloggers do you think really exist here?
People seem to come and go.....folks that I thought were permanent fixtures here just faded into cyberland.
How long can this place last?

I am terrified that I am the only one here...but I can live with that, too.

People do come and go, and I should probably go, too.  But am still here for nowl

I love this blog site.  I say what i want and no one is the wiser and i get feed back.  Its like free counciling.
  • Fallyn said on Nov 09, 2007....
i think it's a combination of the two.......
i love the conversation aspect, but i think sometimes it gets a bit out of control.....possibly my fault.
  • silverwhisper said on Nov 09, 2007....
that depends entirely upon who you read, if you ask me. :>

*laughing* mine are definitely not blogs...they are train wrecks waiting to happen......sometimes incredibly fun train wrecks...but still.
  • beyondtheveil said on Nov 09, 2007....
I'll take the glorified chat room in slow motion any day.
  • uniquely-ironic said on Nov 09, 2007....
It's a hybrid.  I think it combines the best of both.
  • Battycat said on Nov 09, 2007....
It's a combination, and that's what I like about it, I haven't blogged for ages, but I like to pop in and see what everyone is up to :-)
  • PassionTraveler said on Nov 09, 2007....
It's a different animal from other sites, for sure, but I think it's a journaling type of blogsite rather than a pointed blogsite. If it were a formal blog about some themed topic, it wouldn't have the same appeal here.

I'm happy with the chat room concept.  Probably because I have nothing blog-worthy to contribute...I got up, went to work...came home, ate dinner, went to bed...got up...
    rinse and repeat.
  • gingersoul said on Nov 09, 2007....

D6.......i hope it will last until i like it.........and i like it....... lol...

Its an intriguing mix of chat, nonsense blogs, deep conversations and endless occasions of laughter.....what more?

Well I am here and I am real.
  • Eilan said on Nov 09, 2007....
SC has a message-board feel to it.  That's not necessarily a bad thing.  It is what we--however many of us there are--make of it.
  • queenparanoia said on Nov 09, 2007....
well i dont know about you guys but i'm real!!! although the are some here that i question their existence...
  • TinSoldier said on Nov 09, 2007....
What Eilan said. This feels more like a forum or a message board.

However, I also "blog" at my message boards so the line is really kind of blurry anyway.
  • the_infernal_optimist said on Nov 09, 2007....
It can be either, depending on the blog and the topic and all that. I like SC because it's kind of a blend of a regular forum and a typical blog site.

I do a lot of actual blogging here, but there are definitely those posts that feel more like chat rooms in slow-mo. I like that too. :-D

Well I am real and not made up by anyone else! how scary is that? being the product of another's imagination i mean? I have been on other blog sites, can't even remember them now! This is the only one i have ever really liked or felt at home on. I don't care what you call it,for me it is the only place to be!
  • TinSoldier said on Nov 09, 2007....
I am a figment of my own imagination. And not a very good one at that.
  • crybabylu said on Nov 10, 2007....
so far, to me, it seems to be the best of both worlds.   Oh TinSoldier, how funny, i was laughing so hard, i could hardly type my comment here.  Ha
  • Fallyn said on Nov 10, 2007....
i agree with rupert....i feel so at home and i really like it here....blog...glorified chatroom...whatever

this is SOOO much better than a chat room.....chat rooms don't have ready made topics to respond to.
  • RELICOLONY said on Nov 10, 2007....
For me, the great feedback is it, even though some more genuineness would make it feel more like in real life.

I know...it's cyberspace, so we do cyberspeak here....etc....
  • quietone said on Nov 11, 2007....
I think it is an authentic place to meet great people who ARE real...just have funny names here.  This is a place where one can meet people from all walks of life, all over the world...and for the most part get along...so what ever you call it...I call it a home for souls to cast what they feel and share their life experiences and even an opinion or two.
  • Zayda said on Nov 11, 2007....
I think it's a combination of the two. It's not necessarily a blog site with what they call "evergreen" topics. But the great appeal of it is the sense of the community and the interchange that happens. However, I think the level of interchange is far different than a chat site.
  • D6fer said on Nov 11, 2007....
sorry....been gone for a few days went to coffee fest......looks like however you view soulcast....all seem to like it!
  • lambovet said on Nov 12, 2007....
D- I was gone for several months, a lot happened, My son is still in Iraq his 14th month come and gone...Gramma (ma in law) fell down the stairs - not seriously injured, we're helping as we can, and will soon move in with her. I wonder what impact three dogs and two cats will have on her independence...See, blog, chat whatever. Illegitimus non carborundum
  • D6fer said on Nov 12, 2007....
lambovet.....sorry to hear about Gramma......hope all is well for her....and your family....hopefully your son can make it home soon.

D6fer, I think alot of folks are sitting back and reading the mail. I myself left for awhile thinking I found Oz. But I'm back.

        P.S.                I didn't find OZ.

the reason I like soulcast is the heavy focus on conversations. I.e. the glorified chat room aspect :)
