I am tired of reading the headlines and hearing the stories about the New England Patriots "late game tactics".  So they beat the Redskins 52-7 last week and Brady was still in the game throwing touch down passes in the 4th quarter with the score 45-0.  Is it the Patriots fault that the Redskins suck?  I think not.

There is a lot of talk about Brady being a target especially with the big game coming up this weekend against the Colts.  Now if someone intentionally injures Brady to try to stop the Patriots, that is class-less!  These football stars are paid millions of dollars to play their best and to win games.  Why shouldn't Brady and the Patriots run up the score if the other team's defense can't stop them?  Is there some unwritten rule that a team must take out their starters and play the bench in order to give their opponent a chance?

I've heard enough!

What do the rest of you think?  Are the Patriots just "Champs" or are they truly "Class-less"?

(P.S. Go Patriots!!!!!)

    absolutely & utterly class-less. it's also stupid.

let's begin w/ the spying, which puts into question the legitimacy of the patriots records through the belichick era. obviously, the pats organization doesn't care about whether or not they have to play by the rules. but in addition to that comes this stat-padding business. it's unsportsmanlike, and this just means that when an opposing db hits a pats receiver or TE, they're gonna hit him. and pray that belichick never calls a QB sneak, b/c those d-linemen are gonna do their best to clean brady's clock.

but it's also stupid. 1) it's an increased chance of injury and in the final quarter when you're up 4 TDs, the other team cannot possibly come back in 15 mins of football so rest the starters, don't risk a season-ending injury like a ACL tear; 2) most of the star player contracts are incentive-loaded so letting them pad their stats puts you in an even worse position re: the salary cap.

    JMHO.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a team try to take Brady out at some point.

I pay more attention to college football than the NFL, but I think that college coaches who run up the score are pretty much without class.  Geez, after a point, call off the dogs, let the subs get some playing time, and save the starters for when they're needed.  For the Pats, that would be this weekend.

Beyond that, I grew up in a Cleveland Browns household, so I'm required to hate  Belichick.  And Brady's from that team up north.

    Um, go Colts?
