While babies Helen Keller and Fanny Crosby lost their sight and this weakness did not prevent them to become useful to their fellow mankind. Fanny wrote 9,000 poems, and since it was done wonderfully that many of her works were made into Christian songs while Helen Keller not only blind but also deaf, pursued her education and finished her college with honor- being magna cum laude in their class all throughout her life, she writes books and spokes to assemblies, gatherings, and in several schools. Despite of their physical disabilities- their weakness, yet they lived extra-ordinary lives. There are so many people that have the wrong notion that the weak people cannot be used by God. This is a big LIE that satan have been using to bring to the mind of the people. Sadly, so many believed in his LIE. But the truth is that God loves to use people that are weak. Prophet Isaiah said in chapter 55 verse 9 “ As the heavens are higher than the earth; so are my ways  higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. God is wanting and longing to used weak people. Even St. Paul said in 1st Corinthians Chapter 1:27 ‘But God choose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of He world to shame the strong’. In His divine Hands, He shaped us. He designed us. Even before this world and the spirit world was created God thought of us. He knows our inside and out, He knows our personality, our strength and our weakness. God cannot moved His power because we deny our weakness, we defend them, hide them, make excuses of them, and all the time, God is simply waiting that we will allow Him to use us roof only in our strength but also in our weak points. The minds of God is divine- when he acts it is always opposite to human under-standing. St. Matthew Chapter 5 verse 7 ‘ Blessed are the  poor in the spirit for there is the kingdom of God’. God himself wants pour his blessings to those who are weak. There is no perfect person. All humans have imperfections. He is not drawn to self-sufficient person for it is contrary to His plan- He wants us to draw our strength from Him alone. St. Paul has his own weakness. The bible described it as the Thorn in the flesh. In 2nd Corinthians chapter 12 verse 7 ‘ to keep me from becoming conceited because of his surpassingly great revelations, there was given me a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of satan, to torment me, in verse 8 three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me , in verse 9 but He said to me, “ My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Our weakness might be our illness, our handicap, our financial difficulty, our bad attitudes or anything that limits us to be used by God. In as much as God is above, God cannot be limited by our human limitations. In fact, He loved to manifest His power to weak vessels so that they cannot take the praises and Glory which is intended to God alone. The bible has many verses to show us what to do so His power can fully move in us. We must admit our weakness by admission, for it is not a sign of weakness but humility and courage. We must be contented by our weakness for contentment is an act of faith by putting ourselves to Him, as our creator, He knows what is best and good for us- 2nd Corinthians chapter  12 verses 9-10 ‘Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why , for Christ sake, I delight in my weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties, for when I am weak, then I am strong,.

Be honest to share your weakness to others- your experiences can served others. Moses was known to be carried by his emotions and anger. H e broke the tablets of the  Ten Commandments which was handed to him personnaly by God at Mount Sinai that he had to go back  to the Mount to ask from God another copy. He killed an Egyptian , he struck the rock when he was supposed to speak to it. Yet, in these weaknesses, he was changed to be known as the humblest man on earth ( Number chapter l2 verse 3).

God always understand our weakness ( Hebrews chapter 4 verse la) and helps us in our weakness ( Romans chapter 8 verse 26a).

But God can  break our strength also and make it instead our weakness. Jacob was always running away whenever he does anything wrong.. God can not used him in his strength… the same with us… 0ne night at they wrestled, God said to him,  I will only released you after I will dislocate your bone in your hip so you can no longer be  dependent on your own strength.. so you can not run away from my dealings. Jacob began to walk  limping and learned to put his trust  to God alone and experienced His power in his lifetime.

Neither Paul or any of the characters in this story desired for a thorn ,weaknes or a limp.

This is what happened to Brian Doersken, a Canadian songwriter and worship leader. . he was popular and known of his passionate to lead the worship to God .This is his strength, until tragedy struck his family.. when three of his six children suffered fragile X syndrome.THis genetic disorder causes varying degrees of mental retardation. His son Benjamin, a lo year old requires constant care.. needs to be assisted when brushing his teeth, changed his diapers and constantly need to be guided in his special diet.

Brian had to make a very serious decision.. one that will put him away from his usual passion.. lead worship. With pain and heaviness in his heart Brian considered leaving the music ministry to attend to his children. But without him knowing that it was in this limping periods that he was able to write a song that would become popular around the world.. In those experiences he never give up his worship , in his heart the passion to worship continues to ablaze himself that inspired him to write “ Come, now is the time to worship”.

What do you have.. weakness, a thorn or a limp… ? In all of these, Jesus can used you if you will just allow Him for He said My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.
