This morning I'm having a heck of a time getting stuff typed up.  My fingers have taken on a life of their own and they are not very helpful.  It may take me awhile to get this blog posted.  For instance just now the fingers wanted to type "bake" and not "take".

I would blame it on lack of caffeine, but I've managed to get 2 cups down this morning.  I think it's a brain malfunction.  Gee, there's a surprise.  Maybe I should soak my fingers in caffeine for awhile or at the very least go slam them in a door to get their attention.

(okay, that seems counter productive, but just now the "stupid fingers" syndrome seems to have improved under threat of pain)

Do you ever have days when you can't type for shit?  What do you think causes this?

oh yeah i have days like those... i'm just to tired to think something to blog about... =) maybe that's the cause...

queen - that may be part of it.  The other problem I have is that when I do think of something to say, my fingers start wandering to letters in the "future" words before finishing the "present" words.

i gotta say, i have moments like that, but not whole days! i'd guess it's that you're anxious, though, so maybe switching to decaf would be good? :>

SW - yup!  whole days (or at least all of this day so far).  I think switching to decaff will only make me type slower and stupid, but what the heck, I'll give it a whirl.

unique- I not only run into typing finger difficulties, but also writing finger problems. Did you ever have days you couldn't read your own handwriting?

I definitely have days where my fingers have typing issues. Sometimes if I'm sitting in my chair just a little off center, suddenly my hands are on the wrong keys and whatever I type looks like this: sskh odifna p.d  Then I have to reposition my ass in the chair so I'm not typing in Swahili or something.

BTV - Nah!  I'm a secretary, so more often I get stuff from a boss that's supposedly english that I have to translate.  When I get really punchy trying to figure it out I'll insert some perverted phrase that looks similar and ask the giver of headaches is that's what they wrote.

ET - because, after all, the ass is the center of the typing world ;)  I know what you mean though, I've often had the nerve to look baffled at what I'm typing when I can FEEL my fingers have not landed on the right keys.

I have those days. It usually happens more at work when someone is standing over your shoulder waiting for you to finish so they can use the computer. At home for me is either the arthritis in my right hand or I've been up too late.

princess - ooohhh, performance anxiety!  I get that with pretty much anything.  Probably a good thing I gave up the idea of becoming a performance grade musician as I can actually stutter when playing the piano I get so anxious playing in front of people.

Damn. Lfbno7 took my joke. That's what I was going to do.

    Well played.

But yes, I can't type for shit sometimes. I think we've all been there. I call it having mummy hands because it's like typing with bandages or casts on your fingers.

Mr Box - mummy hands.  that could work, especially this time of the year.  I'm still suffering from the illness, but at least I'm sugared out of my mind. (yes I got into the halloween candy)

Not so much days when I can't type for shit, but sometimes can't shit for shit. Other days I can't stop shitting for shit, those are the shittiest days I suppose.

My fingers, they're fine Uni, maybe I should threaten to slam my ass against the wall? Nah, probably bust the wall !

unique, i havent yet reached that stage where my fingers don't obey my bidding. more likely, it's a problem with crappy keyboards, stuck keys, and trying to multi-task, whatever that means...lol.

well i have days like that too, and so in order to save my sanity, I work in Word so that I can spell check everything instead of worrrying about it. HATE when it happens in Excel, becasue I must not know the trick of editing within one of the cells, sigh.
Hope today is better for ya!

mobil - but it might give your butt something to think about. ;)

moonriver - I'd like to blame something else, but I'm afraid it's my brain :(

Mamie - It turns out that today is better.  Not working has a lot to do with it.
