Scientists think they've found where optimism (or the mechanism that drives it) resides in the human brain. It's actually in two places.

Cool (and possibly good news for those who suffer from depression as well)!

well now, this is certainly interesting...OK, so how do we account for your being infernal, then? :D

wow, that's pretty cool. I think that part of my brain was lost over the summer, Good thing I found it again!

infernal- I hold back on the real possibilities coming from finding two areas of the brain that react to an emotional response. They have charted the brain significantly and it seems little real world effectiveness has come from it......

...wait- does this mean my rostral anterior cingulate & amygdala need a pill?

I want a shot of whatever directly to that region of my brain... hmmm, maybe chocolate?

    Glad y'all found it interesting.

ed: re: infernal, perhaps some things are better left a mystery! ;-)

kruu: I can see it now: "Chocolate infusions cure depression...side effects include weight gain, ...." :-D

infernal:  Actually, if you could inject chocolate, it probably wouldn't cause weight gain.  It's not the chocolate itself, but all the sugar and fat that it's usually mixed with that put on the pounds.  This is beginning to sound like a good idea!
