Have you noticed? I have been trying unsuccessfully to log into my e-mail account since the weekend.
My dial-up Internet access gets me as far as the last green bar before cutting off as 'Done', without finishing the connection.
Is it only my account or has it happened to you, too? Should I blame my 'PC Pitstop' for diligently wiping my cookies? But even connecting Hotmail via MSN.com doesn't work either!
Any ideas?
It's kind of an anti-climax right now for me to have crossed the 100 subscriber level without being able to see who is congratulating me via my e-mail! :o( HELP!

sorry, bronx, i don't use hotmail. are you connecting via an e-mail client or webmail? have you added any new hardware in the past few days, or software for that matter?
oo, you use win XP, right? is there any chance whatsoever that a recent update screwed you up? can you roll back previous changes?
and does hotmail have a FAQ you can check?

sw: thanks. I have added quite a few software recently but I'm not so sure that's the cause.
I think I may go back one restore point or two for my XP after contacting Hotmail. Yes, I think I also recall a recent windows update of some kind....
It;s just so strange having to figure out all the possible reasons for being locked out of an account seemingly suddenly. -

It is really inconvenient - www.hotmail.com was not accessible via Google Accelerator:
[The web hostby111fd.bay111.hotmail.msn.comis not accessible.]
For how long, I don't know. I can just imagine the e-mails and j-mails piling up daily.

Yay! Hotmail is back online and I was able to read my e-mail again.
Thankfully, not too much damage was done to time-sensitive communication. -
