  definitely talk with your cousin, though: if she's selfish and rude enough to make such a demand, the relationship has deteriorated to the danger point and you would do well to get the hell out, IMHO.

  Only you can decide that one.  If you want to "get one in" on the roommate tell her that since you're moving out on short notice that you're SURE she'll have 1/2 your deposit, etc. ready for you on moving day.  If she balks, tell her a standard 30 notice is fine with you.  She'll fume either way.
