I cant believe it......
Philadelphia is the city with the least attractive people in Us? And also......the least active, the least friendly, least stylish and least worldly?
.....
I am really surprised.....Mamie, what do you think?...:-)
.....

Well, "my" Dallas and Washington have been ranked at the second and third place in the bottom of this list....
Read here

You know me, i am not fond of Dallas at all.....so i am not surprised of this result but Dallas is also home of the highest number of plastic surgery centers in the whole Us....something needs to be more investigated here...

And you....how do you rank your city?

Well Gingerbread, I'm here, need I say more?

I think the city I live in is more scenic than some, what with the pretty bridge and all, and definately SF is very pretty in some spots.  The people are average I'd have to say.  Not tons of plastic surgery to "perfect" them, but pretty in a more natural way.  Lots of bikers and runners, so weight wise I'd say they're average or slightly above average.  As far as being pleasant I'd have to say it's pretty dismal here.  I don't often find people (other than the thrift store ladies) who are all that friendly and often very rude.

Mobil.....lol....i guess not......where have you been these past days anyway?

Uni....i always picture San Francisco as a friendly, sunny and windy city.... and not full of wackos as Los Angeles ....so i am surprised you find the people to be rude instead...

Well, you got the sunny, windy part right.  Perhaps we're not generally as rude as LA, but I'd wager it's not by much.
  • mobil said on Oct 23, 2007....
I've been out buying perfume and a handbag Gingerbread. I've been busy trying to be more feminine don't you know? haha
  • gingersoul said on Oct 23, 2007....
    Wasted time, Mobil....LOL...
  • uniquely-ironic said on Oct 23, 2007....
I'd still like to see mobil in a push-up bra and stillettos :)

Getting your tummy tucked doesn't suddenly make you pretty. As ugly as people get around here, (Dallas) I am not surprised that they made the list.
  • Mr_Box said on Oct 23, 2007....

I'm pretty sure I live in a hot city. Everyone here is beautiful. Well maybe not everyone. But this is LA. Home to all that glitters.

Plus I live here. So that must mean something.

    Just kidding, Gingery.

And what's this about LA being full of wackos?  That damn Tom Cruise is giving us a bad name out here. But at least we're pretty wackos.

  • princessbitch65 said on Oct 23, 2007....
LOL@ Mr Box about Tom Cruise

He's not the only wacko there (Britney Spears, cough, cough)

I just think that it is interesting that one of the major midwest cities isn't even listed at all ( mine)  but then the poll was about attractive people, not portly ones!
  • Mr_Box said on Oct 23, 2007....

princess.....you got that right. Ms. Spears has surpassed Mr. Cruise. Especially when she shaved her head and flashed the world her other bald spot.

    That's class.

  • gingersoul said on Oct 23, 2007....

LG......yes...exactly my point.....you can be full of plastic on your wallet and on your body but that doesn't make of you a nice and pleasant person to be around.......

Mr. Boxiful....oh, yeah....but Mr. Scientology is not even the biggest wacko in your city of Angels...... but....aren't you ever tired of all that glitter?

    Princess.....where do you live again?

  • Mr_Box said on Oct 23, 2007....

Gingery....I don't really get tired of the glitter. I guess because I'm used to it. I wouldn't do well in a different place. I like the glitter. It sparkles.

Well, this is the Philippines, so I must say that the pollution does make the area unattractive. However, we have a lot of beautiful people, that's for sure :)
  • D6fer said on Oct 23, 2007....
follow the money.....I used to live in the seattle area....we would watch people in the different malls and rate them....the wealthier the area....the prettier the people...on average that is....it figures....money attracts beauty.

ginsoul- My city is about 20th largest in the nation and we aren't even on the map.

The big excitement here is a siesta.

The people are friendly here though, when they wake up.

This city is pretty darned ugly any way you want to take that word...but it - and every other city in my state - can't be found on those lists. ;-)

At least the one closest to me (of those listed) got high marks for friendliness! :)

Don't know about beautiful but my city (Perth) is rated as the most BORING city in Australia!
  • hotaka said on Oct 24, 2007....
Saitama City has lots of cute young women. But around the main station (Omiya) there sure are a lot of weirdly dressed people. Once I saw two guys wearing pajamas - one in blue and one in pink, if you can believe it. The pink pajamas were the same pair I saw in the girls department of a store and had little pink bunnies and strawberries. They also had their hair died to match the colour of their pajamas. They were walking like they were so cool, the latest in hipness, like all the girls would just die to see them. All I could think was, "You're wearing girls' pajamas!"

ginger, I live in a SMALL city,...okay, a town, but we have been told how friendly we are.  The town is very picturesque and there has been a lot of effort put forth so that downtown does not become a ghost town.  The attractiveness of the citizens might be somewhat in question.  The city has a program to help people paint their houses and keep them up.  We'd never be on a national survey, but I think we're quite attractive and friendly.  Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of industry around here anymore, so good jobs are hard to find.
  • exhibit_c said on Oct 24, 2007....
The survey of Philadelphia must have been take after my daughter left. She lived there two years, and I think it's a great place.

Of course, too many cheese steaks are bad for the waistline and the complexion.
  • tizzygirl said on Oct 24, 2007....
Well according to them where I live is pretty good....I rank within the top 15 in attractiveness and above 20 in stylish and friendly.....But a personaly....I think it's ok, people wise, I've seen nicer people though!

Hi, where I live now, Tiberias, the younger people are very attractive, the girls from sixteen up to about 35 are unusually beautiful and in good shape physically. The problem starts at middle age when people get to eat too much, and unfortunately many women in their forties still dress the way their daughters dress and they don't look so great in those styles anymore. Israeli men in their forties, in general, start developing a paunch if they aren't doing physical work or working out. The young men are handsome, but they are lacking the 'something extra' their fathers and grandfathers had.....As to friendliness, people here are helpful and friendly, even though Tiberias has the opposite reputation in Israel (maybe due to a popular vaudville team of years ago).

I heard this earlier and was floored - - I live about 15 minutes outside of Philadelphia - as with most large cities, there are some not so nice people - but there are far more pleasant people than there are unpleasant! And kind - - Hellooooo - it's the City of Brotherly LOVE!! Okay - maybe not in some sections - but overall....

Ugly - who is judging these Philadelphians? There are alot of awesome looking people here - just stroll down South street on a nice night - go to any of the great places that Philadelphia has - Franklin Institute, Art museum, Boat house Row, Kelly drive, and so on... You will see beautifull people everyday! I'd like to see these Judges!!!

Hey ginger, sorry its taken me a while to respond. Where do I live? If I tell you have have to kill you!  Seriously, I live in the midwest but I do not want to give too much away since I disclosed where I work. I'm trying to be anonymous.

All I can say is that there are really loads of attractive people in London. . .I see them every day on the train on the way to work.  I think the weather here has a lot to do with the fact that people age really well here :-)
  • vacantmind said on Oct 24, 2007....
I live in Chicago. I love the skyline but I hate the weather. Yep, just like everyone else. People are generally friendly, even the beggars are friendly. You can find some loud mouth people claiming to be members of the mob. However, it is usually false because the mob keeps a low profile these days. On the attractive scale we cover the full spectrum. I think its a nice balance though.

My friend, fearing got married yesterday.  I wish I could have been there.  It brought me great joy that she had invited me.  I wouldn't sully her special day with my sadness, but...I wish I could have been there.  I asked the Lord to make my friendship ...
Aching for the beauty of the world
Such a sad longing
Aching for the beauty of life
Such a sad longing

Fear of life, fear of death
And always and yet
There is the joy inside
of a sun not yet set

My resume is growing quickly and my images speak for my positive attitude and strong work ethic. Everyone says I’m going far! I look forward to "pushing the envelope" and creating images for everyone to enjoy.
