Do you mean, what actress would I want to play me?
  • silverwhisper said on Oct 23, 2007....
    yep. :>

    ed
  • gingersoul said on Oct 23, 2007....

    Picker.......wake up!....lol.......

Ed......ok... i go first.....I would like me being played by that actress who was Doc Dreamy's wife in Grey's Anatomy ......the one with the red hair and that sultry voice ...she does now a commercial for Cadillac and i just found her sexy as hell.....

    dont remember her name though.....somebody?

  • silverwhisper said on Oct 23, 2007....
GS: hm...grey's anatomy isn't a show that i watch so i don't know. looking at the cast pictures on the imdb page doesn't show any redheads. ?

    wait, did you mean her?

    ed
  • gingersoul said on Oct 23, 2007....
Yep.......its her.....thank you, Ed.....i was too lazy to browse around.......;-)
  • Alyss said on Oct 23, 2007....
ginger I can so see Dr McDreamy's ex as you! That's perfect! I have no idea who would be good as me, though if we're doing Grey's references I think I'm a bit like the Dr Bailey character.

  • silverwhisper said on Oct 23, 2007....
GS: damn, kate walsh is a fine looking woman! so what is it about her that makes her a good casting choice for you, physical similarity, similarities to the character she plays on the show, something else?

alyss: gr...now i might have to watch an ep or 2 to understand!

    ed
  • Alyss said on Oct 23, 2007....
LOL! Well ed, it's either that or I'm like Meredith Grey but she's just a bit too flaky for me.

  • gingersoul said on Oct 23, 2007....

Alyss...oh, thank you so much.....you deserve a big hug...lol...and for Bailey....i love her....she has that cut-the-shit kind of personality that i am tuned with ..but i picture you so much better looking.....and i agree with you....Meredith is just too down flaky for my likes....:-)

Ed.......isnt' she fine? ..and yes, you should watch that show even though now Walsh left Grey's and has her own one..... i like her coolness and sarcastic bitchy look and the contrast with the pain she was hiding for the end of her marriage...uhmm..does some bell ring here?....lol..

  • silverwhisper said on Oct 23, 2007....
alyss: [makes motion signifying that the reference has gone over head]

GS: nope, no ringing bells over here. clearly, that must just be some kind of bizarre coincidence. mm-hm. [nods]

She's a little young to play me, but I think Jennifer Garner would be a good personality match and physically similar. (though I'm sure she'd have to pack on a few pounds)  I like that she has played serious, funny, and physically demanding roles.  (kinda like my life)
  • destinydiva said on Oct 23, 2007....
hey what an interesting post! I guess I'd go with the girl that plays bridget jones being English...she'd have to pick up the accent again, and loose the big knickers tho! lol :-) xx

  • the_infernal_optimist said on Oct 23, 2007....
I like the down-to-earth style of Alyson Hannigan and Sandra Bullock - that's something I'd like to think we share. And Kiera Knightley has very expressive eyes, which would fit well enough (though I certainly don't look like that on my best day!). I'm not sure who I'd pick of the three. ~Infernal
  • beyondtheveil said on Oct 23, 2007....
Ed- I'd choose Al Pacino. He's too short, but he's the only one I know of who could make my rather mundane existence look exciting.

Other than him, to answer your question more to what you are asking, it would be Jeremy Irons. When Die Hard II came out, people at work were saying how much we looked alike and acted alike.
  • LadyGamer said on Oct 23, 2007....

    Sandra Bullock.

She plays the going forward because I have to even though this shit makes no effing sense and I want OFF this ride dammit but I guess I'll just win the day since I don't get to choose role really well. And that is Sooooooo me. Plus, she has good hair.

  • gingersoul said on Oct 23, 2007....

BeyBey........you look like Jeremy Irons?? And you tell me this now??? First.... he is one of my favorite actors, second i always found him very sexy......

But Ed...i thought you were limiting our choices only to television actors-actress...so i migth have to widen my selection.....

Now if somebody out there comes up with Daniel Day Lewis or Johnny Depp......just kill me now.....;-p

  • silverwhisper said on Oct 23, 2007....
u-i: cool choice, if you ask me. :>

destiny: renee zellweger? heh, oddly enough i thought she looked best when she was playing bridget jones.

infernal: what a nifty set of options! i'd call that an embarrassment of riches, to be honest. :D

beyond: so now i'm kinda picturing you as the voice of scar, exhorting soulcasters to "be prepared"...jeremy irons is an actor i've always admired, actually.

LG: yeah, i can see that for you. :>

GS: hey, a lot of actors make the transition b/n the two media. it was never my intention that you guys restrict your options to actors who work in TV.

ginsoul- Hey girl, I said that they said we looked and acted alike. That was also a number of years ago....hmmm...can we do this again and let me say I'm the spitting image of Daniel Day Lewis in Last of the Mohicans?

Ed- Always glad to help with my cyber-personality.

After seeing the Showtime series Californication, I would have to choose Dave Duchovny.

yep, and it pisses me off. back when the first mummy movie came out, i was knocked out by rachel weisz, who at the time was vastly more realistically-proportioned than most of the women in hollywood. sadly, she too has decided to take the anorexia express.

It's just sad that they think that's a requirement for beauty, and I'm really hoping little one doesn't ever pick up on that message. :-p I feel sorry for those actresses, because they're real people with a warped sense of normal. And how do you change that? (Sorry to have dragged your post OT here.)

    what the heck....Botero forever! ..:-D

    Go figure.

In the past, I've always considered myself closer to the Barefoot Contessa on the Food Network.  I guess change is good?

hayden panettiere is who would play me. she's my same age and I wish I looked just like her. if you don't know who she is, she plays the indestructible girl on heroes.

  • Twylarants said on Oct 23, 2007....
Judi Dench.  She's the only old, gray-haired actress I can think of. She's much heavier than I am, and there's that British accent,of corse, but our hair is the same.  And she's so talented I'm shaw she could tawk Jurzee.  Edie Falco cud coach huh.
Yeah, the spelling... I know... but that's how I talk.
  • pickersplock said on Oct 23, 2007....
I'm going to say Francis McDormand.
I like her, and there's a slight resemblance.
  • Zeasea said on Oct 23, 2007....
I don't know her real name, but she is on the show Bones. Well... it is Bones actually. Its not that we look alike, or that I am that smart. Its the whole she don't get most of the "social" parts of life. That is me... I never really know what to say or do.

  • wombat said on Oct 23, 2007....
I believe I answered before with Debra Jo Rupp-- (Kitty Forman from That 70's Show)  , and that's a pretty good choice for me.  I could also add Lisa Kudrow--as the character she played as her twin, or as the waitress on Mad About You.   I am definitly "floopy!" as "Phoebe" says!
  • rupert7 said on Oct 23, 2007....
When I was younger and had a mop of hair I was told I look a bit like Al Pacino......so - yeah he will do!
  • crybabylu said on Oct 23, 2007....

Please excuse my ignorance, but I don't have any idea what "The soulcast show" is but if you are asking me who is my ideal person being portrayed on TV...it is Americas Fierra who plays in "Ugly Betty".   I tivo it every week....and play it back several times.   I like the character she plays.....She is a much stronger character than some might think, and what I have witnessed from the actress herself........I like her personal character as well....Remember "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?"

I've watched several of her interviews...and she is fantastic....of great personal character.........Dee

  • crybabylu said on Oct 23, 2007....
To creative woman.....I hope if you look like her, that you don't start acting like her too....unless, of course, you aren't buying into all the hubalu between her and charlie sheen and their public divorce....I personally think both of them are doing an injustice to their kids.......dragging each other's name thru the mud.....but in looks, she is definitely a beauty....nothin wrong with that.
  • TinSoldier said on Oct 23, 2007....
Donald Sutherland. Preferably a younger one, but the current one will do.
  • Suddenrain said on Oct 23, 2007....
I would say Penelope Cruise. We have different color eyes but she's the closest I could get. I think she's very sweet. Either her or Sandra Bullock.
  • lfbno7 said on Oct 24, 2007....
Simply K-Lo, it must say something about you that you chose Jodie Foster, which surprised me, because I see you as so sexual and I see Jodie Foster as so rational and a bit virginal, an intellectual.

As for me, I think I'd want Yogi Bear to play me.  Or Sean Connery.  Or Ashley Judd.  I guess the three of them are all pretty similar, so it's a type I'm going for.
  • Lioness said on Oct 24, 2007....
hmmm.. Cameron Diaz, because she smiles a lot. Or Julia Roberts coz she's so simple.
  • silverwhisper said on Oct 24, 2007....
CW: well, i've always considered ina garten handsome, to be honest. denise richards, though, huh? that's pretty nifty, i think. :>

chocolate cashew: welcome to my blog and thanks for visiting! ms panettiere is indeed quite pretty, i agree. what is it about her that makes you choose her?

twyla: judi dench is one hell of a lady and an actor i've always admired. good choice! did you ever see her in as time goes by? it was a BBC sitcom that runs on PBS sometimes.

pickers: that's really quite nifty. :>

LJ: you know, i can sorta see it, although with your wit, i keep wanting to think dennis miller.

layamaria: you know, sometime i'll have to see that show.

wombat: lisa kudrow was hysterical both as phoebe and her twin, wasn't she? i never watched that 70s show so i'm afraid i don't really know much about ms rupp, though.

rupe: pacino, huh? that's pretty cool, if you ask me. :>

lu: heh...the title is just a reference to the idea of casting the hypothetical television show of soulcast, that's all. :> and again, i see i should try to catch that show some time...

TS: hm...interesting, for some reason that surprises me. [shrugs]

suddenrain: hey there, stranger! :> penelope cruz, huh? she seems so open during interviews, i've always felt. sandra bullock, for some reason, i'm having some difficulty seeing. what about her makes you throw that name out?

lbf: yogi bear, or yogi berra? :> um...ashley judd?!

lioness: cameron diaz does smile a whole lot, doesn't she? julia roberts has been described often as "everywoman", in that she's someone to whom many women can relate. do you find that true for you?

Ellen Degeneres is one of my heroes, yes. I've loved her since she first came on the scene. She takes a lot of heat about a lot of different things, but she is real. She's been on my mind so much lately, because of all the "doggy" drama she talked about on her show last week, and she is taking a lot of heat about that now, but I love her and I think she is absolutely wonderful!
  • Twylarants said on Oct 24, 2007....
SW- We watch every Britcom on PBS and "Time" is my husband's favorite !  My current favorite is "Last of the Summer Wine".  The first one we ever saw was "Butterflies" and we were hooked.  There was one in the 70s about  3 women in a  rock band starring Rula Lenska, and friends would tell me I looked just like her.  I actually have an old photo of me striking a "Rula" pose! Those were the days...sigh.  But now I look like Dame Judi (who was the inspiration for my haircut.)

[feels horribly guilty] and i feel really badly about that b/c i think this is the first time you've ever visited my blog page so i feel as though i should make up for that with a particularly long response. :> anyway: as you can see from my own choice of anthony daniels, i know the feeling, even though i'm not familiar w/ the show in question.

infernal: bah, john cusack's way too cool to be cast as me. and yes, people's responses to polls are quite revealing sometimes. it's why, for as little effort as they take to create, i still roll 'em out: they're fun like that. :>

lu: i agree that she's real, although today's the first i heard about the doggy drama thing.

twyla: never saw either of the ones you described, but the mrs and i got hooked on coupling, which was fantastically, painfully funny in season 1, great fun in season 2 but kinda weak afterwards, sadly. but still, judi dench frigging rocks.

lioness: yeah, i think i agree with you there.
