John Cole has some:

1.) "Would you have sex with a man to stop a terrorist attack?"

2.) "If lowering taxes results in increased revenues then would lowering taxes to zero result in infinite revenues?"

3.) "If you had a time machine, would you travel back in time and abort Bin Laden?"

4.) "Would you torture and kill Jesus to ensure mankind’s salvation? And how does that work?"

Good questions.  Fortunately I don't quite qualify.

1.) Am I or somebody I know going to die and will I be pitching or catching.  These are important detaily cus I might just have to let some people die.

2.) At some point you have to lower prices to uh free and I imagine if everything was free you'd have a hard time keeping anything on shelves.

3.) Having seen Butterfly effect no.

4.) Uh, this one sucks.  I guess I'd have to stick with yes but honestly good damned question.

    Sean -- #1 was funny.

My answers (not that I consider myself a neocon, but...)
    1. Sure. Why not? But not someone with AIDS, any more than I would have heterosexual sex with someone with AIDS. Unless we are talking about a lot of innocent deaths.

    2. Umm. Really, there is a limit below which lowering taxes diminishes returns. Just like there is a limit above which raising taxes diminishes returns.

    3. Probably not. Instead, I would take him and raise him in a wholesome environment. Just not my own household -- heh!

Or, even better idea -- I would pay little muslim kids to beat him up every day in the name of Allah.

    4. Too vague. What is meant by "mankind's salvation"? Protected from a nuclear holocaust that would kill almost everyone on the planet? Then yes, in a heartbeat. For anything less? Not likely. After all, the man had a message of peace and love for the world. How does what work?

*note: this post has been entirely tongue-in-cheek like the original questions and should not be taken as a substitute for actual domestic or foreign policy.

This is a great point and it implies taht the best way to deal with terrorists isn't to abuse the human rights of non americans in general and that things like torture are probably making us less safe.

You have to love the way liberals think.

1.....I didn't know this was an approved method by the geneva convention.....would the man be a terrorist? Damn! the ACLU would be all over that!

2....well hell lets just raise them to 100%...take it all....that would solve everything right?

3....no....I'm a right wing christian type remember? I would go back to when he was 4 and drown him in the bathtub  ;p

4....someone already did that....did ya read the book?

    1) I think if a guy asked me to have sex with him saying that it would stop a terrorist attack I'd think it was one hell of a pick up line and I'd make some smart ass remark about "one incredible kind of protection," and then excuse myself.

    2) I believe there is a magic balance but that it always swings the opposite way when someone sagacious tries to make a move for the wiser. You can't measure both the velocity and location of that magic movement. Just try to keep up.

    3) I'd wait until he was two and have him put in our toddler immersion class. Both teachers just love to hug little kids and make them feel good about themselves. He'd be proud of his English and arts&crafts abilities in no time.

    4) I have to agree with D6fer. It's been done. But I wouldn't want to be the one to do it.

You're so retarded that you're a caricature of yourself. Just the other day you were complaining about people reducing everything to black and white.

Regarding number 4, d6 missed the point. I'm sure d6 associates with the those that were saved and not those doing the torturing, but he what's america to now be the ones doing the torturing. And he doesn't even get it, which is typical d6.

just trying to speak your language bloc.....I know how you have trouble understanding the common man. Must be pretty tough having an intelligence level so high that you can't understand those "beneath you"
  • hotaka said on Oct 21, 2007....
I guess I missed the point in number four as well. Sorry, bloc. Probably you were alluding to something you mentioned previously and I did not read. That's why I usually don't comment of these kinds of posts. The contents are often outside of my arena of knowledge. I still enjoy reading them from time to time. Cheers!

I just wanted to hear what the majority plans to do. I thought the last debate went to Obama. McCain sounded like Bush lite. He's into Pinocchio politics. What do you think?...
Or how I learned to stop being a sexist and love a woman...
This is one of those issues I'm on the fence about and found this debate between the different sides interesting. ...
