1 Corinthians 10:13

"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it]." (KJV)

 

None of us are alone in our suffering, although sometimes it feels like we are. I know I personally often feel like nobody could ever understand what I'm going through, but there's always someone who has been through whatever hardship we're facing. If you can find that person or a support group, maybe they can help you by telling you how they got through it. If they are still in that place, you can help each other and give each other strength.

In my life, I often forget that God always gives us a way out of the hard times. We just have to pray and ask Him to guide us to the answer. It may take longer than we would like, but there is always a way out.

 

I feel like a hypocrite saying that there's always a light at the end of the tunnel, when I've felt so depressed and hopeless over the past year that I often seriously considered committing suicide. The reason I didn't is I somehow know that being alive won't always be such a painful thing for me. It's just a storm that I'm passing through right now.

 

I hope if you're going through some painful times and you feel like God has abandoned you or things will never get better, you'll remember this verse and know that He never forsakes us and there's always a way out.
