It's not as fun or personal as blogging, but you can make money writing articles online. Helium.com and AssociatedContent.com allow you to publish original articles and make money based on the number of people who view your writings (and their Google ads).

 

AssociatedContent.com is better than Helium. They pay $1.50 per 1,000 page views, and will also buy original articles from you. You get a minimum of $3 for well-written exclusive content. Check out their submission page for more info.
