The funny part about this is that anybody who has spent any time in the real world could have told you this bit of information without any need for a formal study. The vast majority of us use a bit of profanity in our day to day interactions. Maybe it's the sign of the times but that is simply how we are and when we are forced to behave a certain way it prevents us from connecting.
Hell if I've never called you dumb I probably don't like you very much. I wonder if next they will discover that being on a first name basis improves morale. I'd be interested to see how profanity effects productivity though.
