It sounds like things are going ok so far.  I read your other posts but didn't make it around to commenting when they were new--but I know about your going to Manilla. Enjoy your time there, and your time "exploring" your future.  I know everyone feels like me--that you are wished good fortune and happiness.  Don't work too hard--have fun on the field trip--and hope to see photos soon!

Hey Queenie, so nice to see you so soon!!  You are right that when we end up doing what WE want to do its so much easier to get focussed and have energy.  I think that when we feel forced and pressured to perform; when we feel trapped and anxious is when we are most unhappy and tired.  Now that you have released yourself from all that baggage of striving with something that your heart was not in you are "coming into your own" ;-))

    So happy for you!

queenie -- just consider this: some 15 years ago, i was in my mid-30's and already had a wife and kids. yet my mother was still convincing me to go back to school. yup, parents will always be parents... :-) good luck on stepping into a new stage in your life!

Queenie ~ You sound so happy!  I'm glad =)  Yep parents will not stop pushing you which can be both good and bad lol but that's what they are there for.  Have fun on the field trip!!

I'm glad you're settling in and that your parents are not giving you too much of a hard time. That's great! And you still get to stop by Soulcast too :-) I think you're gonna be much happier now.

Good for you!  It's difficult for us as parents to accept the fact that our "babies" can make their own decisions, but, if we did our jobs right, that's the outcome.  My son is a little older than you, I guess, and still trying to find his direction job wise.  He took all the right courses and got the right degrees for the times, but couldn't settle into that world.  In his soul he's "blue collar" like his Mom.
Just now got off the phone with him -
he called to tell me about his interview this morning for a position in his company that suits him perfectly.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

queenie, I'm so glad you haven't disappeared off our radar screens.  I feel good knowing that you're with family there.  I wasn't quite sure what your plan was.  What will you do next?  Keep us updated, and while you're at it.. .have a blast!

Sometimes we imagine things are going to be worse than they really are.  It sounds like you're going to be fine.  I think that one day, your father will get over his disappointment when he sees that you are successful in what you enjoy.  Have fun on the field trip!

Good that you are being productive as you name it. Also good that you are going with your little sister. Your folks will come around and the main thing is that you are happy and that you feel that you are doing somthing meaningful

queen, take the time to relax, unwind a bit. i'd recommend at least through the weekend, myself.

at some point, you need to think about what your next step should be, whether back in school with a different major or getting a job that interests you, or something.

    but not yet. :>
