a car question

OK this is probably simple to most people.. but I don't have a clue-
 
I bought a Mustang convertible last spring- I am getting ready to take it off the road for the winter- the question is does it matter if I get it tuned up before winter or should I wait until the spring?

    i'm not sure what the benefit would be of tuning it up before storing it away...

    secret- thanks.. I know I was thinking the same thing- I was taking out my wagon, which I had away since last spring and scheduled it for a tune up.. and a friend of mine said I should get them both done now.. I figured I'd wait until after winter to get the mustang myself.. but he said BAD idea- as if it were against the law or something what I was doing!  He's not a mechanic, but he went on about how it's a bad idea to wait.. so I figured I'd ask.. thanks :)
