The Cricket and the Cat

My cat kept me up repeatedly because he was hunting for a cricket in my bedroom. Finally I got out the white flag and spent from 7 AM to 10:30 AM asleep on the couch. Now of course the cat wants to sleep all day. I keep waking him up so he won't be awake again all night tonight. I have no idea what became of the cricket.
