Ah, the eternal question "what shall I write about?".
A good way to start is to get a blank piece of paper and brainstorm. Write a list of:
- things you like
- things you don't
- interests
- hobbies
- your profession
- products you find interesting and so on.
Cross off everything that has probably already been written about a lot already, and put a number 1 to 100 next to the remaining articles on how interesting you think other people would find an article on that topic.
If you think you can put a unique edge on an already popular topic, go for it. People like fresh engaging content.
Then there's the 'adsense' issue to consider. Writing about certain things will put 'higher value' ads on your blog. Which will mean you will earn more per click writing about one thing than writing about something else.
There are trends. Travel always scores highly, as do products. The more expensive the product, the better value clicks usually. Ie ads on car related sites usuappy pay better than ads on cd/music related sites. Both of which would pay much better than ads on a jokes related site.
Take these things into account, and let me know how you get on.
