This is the car I ve been so thrilled about receiving from my mom.  It sits here in the contition I got it.  A little rough for wear with a few bits of rust but very repairable.  Its going to be a fun toy.  In 38 years mom only put 128,000 miles on it.  It passed all mechanical inspections and has been appraised.  Now I m just waiting on the insurance company so that I can actually license it.1969_Mustang_001[1]

botoni, that's extraordinary that there were so few miles on that, and it looks like a dream!

i gotta know: stick or automatic?

SILVER........Darn...its a simple automatic, but mom still knew how to make gravel fly! lol

She's a beauty!  Are you going to keep her stock or will you pimp her out?
  • botoni said on Oct 03, 2007....
UNIQUE......I ll keep her stock but I ll get a whole batch of body work done so she has a 'facelift'. Really considering her age she isnt doing bad.
  • silverwhisper said on Oct 03, 2007....
please tell me that you're gonna take that out for a nice road trip once it's legall yours?

SILVER.....I m hoping the weather wild hold so I can go on some short trips of a three or four hour duration over the next few weeks. Once spring has arrived and the roads are again free of snow and ice I plan on a trip to Vancouver with....thats a nice 10 to 12 hour drive. Should be fun.

It's amazing what little old ladies have in their garages Botoni. She's a beauty and I think going stock is the way to go with these oldies.

Many happy miles to you Botoni, be sure to give Mom a ride when the car is glistening in the sunlight.

Mr. Plock will be very jealous!
  • lioneljay said on Oct 03, 2007....
Ah, Botoni your patience has served you well. There are a zillion Mustang restoration sites and parts suppliers out there. You'll have no trouble making it like new and enjoying yourself as you do.

And then it will be so much fun to drive (in good weather only, of course).

Botty, I'll e-mail you directions to my house so you can take me for a ride.  she's such a pretty girl...

Gorgeous! What I wouldn't give to drive her!  How about a real road trip to Ontario?

EVIL_T....I ll bet your dad has a ball with his. I m so looking forward to playing with this one. I saw a vanity plate that I wish I could have...it says 'FINALLY'!
MOBIL.....I agree entirely. I ve seen some pimped out versions. They make me feel sad for the car. I ll definately take mom for a spin although she has difficulty getting in now.
PICKERS....I ve been jealous of that car since day one so Mr. P can take over my position now.
NAMYOGRL....Those were beauties in their own right. I would trade you except there is so much sentiment in this one.
MISSMIMI......Hell MissMimsee.....I ll even let you drive her once around the block.
ACTORGUY.......How be I show up at your work one morning to give you a ride home. My sister lives in...........you guessed it.........GUELPH!

hi botoni ! i posted a comment two days ago, but I can't find it. Something's wrong with my server that day. Anyway, I like the picture. At least I know now what a mustang looks like. hehee. I don't know anything about cars. The picture reminded me of our school play in highschool, Grease of John Travolta. I'm just not sure if they used a mustang on that movie. There's that part where they are singing "Grease lightning" -- that's specifically the part that i remember when i saw the picture of your car. Congratulations! the car's gonna look even better when you're in it. :D

I'm thankful for all my SC friends. :-) So to pay tribute I will make the turkery, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy. You can bring a side dish or dessert.

All are welcome.

What will you bring?
