Do you know how to dance? I remember dancing since i was old eneough to step on my Daddys shoes...he taught me the 2 step.....I think it is the dance for Daddies & Little Girls! Chubby Checker taught me to twist! round and around n around n around we go again~~~man I could twist....my cousin cheryl taught me the "Hand Jive" ..remember the pony, swim, jerk, bosa nova, mashed potatoe, monkey, "the Freddie" jitterbug, the hustle....can't remember all. In High School Our Gym wasn't built so we had Self Defence Classes And Ballroom Classes which we though were so lame at the time but learned to waltz tango polka I remember having so much fun doing the beer barrell Polka!! what do you remember who taught you?

A cop friend of mine that I dated taught me to Disco....
My mom taught me to do the Charleston.
My sis taught me to do the "Ho-Down."
My ex taught me how to do "the bump"----and then the electric slide......(right on out of there.)
My current hubby taught me how to slow dance in the kitchen while the spaghetti is boiling......

my mom used to listen to chubby checkers and she had all of us doing the twist!my sisters and i used to 'bump'....we taught ourselves after seeing it on american bandstand...my dad taught us girls how to slow dance....we used to stand on his toes too! -

I learned a lot from american band stand and old movies. (twist, bump, mashed potato, moonwalk, etc.) I learned the two step from a friend I worked with in Floriday, the Manhattan Slide from and old boyfriend and hope to take some ballroom dancing some day.
