I am so excited because I got the job I wanted!! Yippee!!!
I didn't find out until I was in the car coming home from work, so the clinic doesn't know about this yet. I will have to tell them tomorrow. But after today I'm especially happy about this!
I spent part of my afternoon cleaning barf out of some womans gigantic cleavage. She was feeling nauseated and before I could give her a pan to throw up in, she spewed chunks everywhere, including down the front of her shirt!!!
So it was my job to dig in there and wipe it all out. My hand almost got lost in there!!! She was very big. And this was very gross. And I was questioning why I wanted to do this as my career. I don't mind blood and things like that. But vomit gives me a wiggins. Of course I have to pretend it doesn't but it does!!! I'm only human........LOL
I know that I'll still have to deal with people being sick when I'm working in a recovery room but the difference is that they won't have eaten first!! I think I'd prefer that much better.
I am supposed to start the new job on the 15th!!! My friend told me I would get it because the doctors don't like to interview people. They only set up a few interviews and I was the best one! Plus I had a connection since I already knew someone who worked there. That helps!
But it also helps when the interviewee yesterday afternoon was missing some of her front teeth!! That's just so bad. If you are missing front teeth, get a denture or something! LOL You do not apply to a professional job in a COSMETIC surgery office and have no teeth.
Soooooo I guess since I have all my teeth, I was a shoe in! LOL
The money is about the same I was making before, but they have extra special benefits!!! All of the usual ones, but they also take their staff on trips too! And they bring in their wives old clothes and shoes and let us keep them. And when I say old clothes I mean expensive designer stuff that they probably wore once and then it went out of fashion. But who cares??? I shop at WalMart! LOL This could be very fun :)
My friend got a $2000 purse for free a few months ago!! It was ugly though so she sold it on Ebay.......but that's ok right? It was free! They never said you couldn't sell the stuff........LOL
So I am looking very forward to this new chapter in my career. I have always been interested in surgery and I think plastic surgery is interesting. I don't think I would want any myself because I don't feel like I need to. But for the people who feel bad about themselves, I think it can be a positive experience. I like to see people being happy. And I love makeover shows too! So this should be a fun job :)
