A lot of people will tell you that the definition of omnipotence must be amended from “the ability to do anything.” to say: “the ability to do anything logically possible.” They say this because of a supposed paradox: “can Gd create a stone so heavy they even he can not lift it?” I will not spend much time trying to show that this is paradox, because I in fact don’t think it is a paradox.

 

Here’s why: asking that question is basically asking: can Gd limit his own power? Can Gd create a circumstance in this university such that it is no longer Gd. I don’t see any logical problems with this, and there for no paradox. But I have never met anyone who shared my view on this, it’s strange. Any ideas?
