It seems their broke down into two camps.
You have cat lovers and there are dog lovers
and it seems the two don't intermingle.
I have cats because they are so easy to take
care of.
My bride wants a "pocket" puppy but to me, dogs
are like kids. You can't leave them alone for long
periods of time because they need to be walked
and fed on a regular basis.
What camp are you in ???

I'm a dog lover. I like cats and my wife and I have had cats both during our marriage and before. But we have both been in agreement for many years now that we much prefer dogs.

Cats are easier to take care of, but I don't find the friendship and closeness that I do with a dog.

I think they do intermingle to a point. I know many people with both.

I have both cats and dogs, but I prefer cats for the reason you mentioned.

However, we almost got another dog today, but we couldn't justify the expense.

I love cats!!!! I'm definitely a cat person :) I've never had a dog in my entire life......I know that's weird, but I'm scared of them. Some of them are cute and I've been around dogs I like. But I don't think I'd ever own one.........

I like cats better, but like dogs as well.  I like little dogs and giant cats.  I had a german shepard once, and he was psychotic.  Probably from being left alone all the time.  I'd get home and he'd jump up and snap his mighty jaws of death in my face.  My cats greet me much nicer.

Both, although I lean toward cats. Much easier to care for in an apartment setting.

I am a dog-lover.  My sister is a cat-lover.  It's actually pretty funny how our personalities fit our pets as well.

I haven't had a dog of my own since I was about ten years old. We moved from a private house to an apartment building and the dog went crazy and had to be killed. My wife and I have had cats at home for the last thirty five years. We also feed the stray cats in the neighborhood.

I like both, I have cats because it wouldn't be fair on a dog with my shifts, when I retire i'll get a dog, but i'll still keep my cats. They can get along ok.
