Seems hot to me... How hot is too hot?
I know of at least one person who thinks global warming is a hoax made up by over zealous environmental types. I say it's real cuz I saw it on discovery channel.

Global warming is real--but then again, so is global dimming. Let me see if I can explain this correctly (I hate sounding like a dumbass). Okay, it all starts with pollutants. Pollutants break down the atmosphere, causing more of the sun's rays to penetrate the ozone layer. We grow hotter; thus, the Greenhouse Effect. Meanwhile, those same pollutants cause dark clouds that reflect some of the heat back into space. This causes the overall temperature of the Earth to be cooler & is known as Global Dimming. We need to reduce pollutants to alleviate Global Dimming, but because the atmosphere has been damaged irrovocably, to do so by too much we will cause the world to grow too hot (the Greenhouse Effect). Even cloud trials left behind by aircraft effect this delicate balance: September 11th is proof in point. Okay, school's out. :)

Global warming is here for sure. I've read heaps on the subject and did an environmental management degree which highlighted the issues surrounding the problem. National Geographic did an entire issue on the phenomenon. Many people don't want to freely admit to it because we are all guilty of mass consumerism and the pursuit of happiness in misdirected pathways. How sad.......Hey you can't take your new stainless steel kitchen or fancy coffee machine to the grave! They aren't recycleable either. But there is always hope :D....think globally, act locally. Listen to Bono! He knows what's going on about sustainability and poverty issues. David Suzuki isn't no dummy either on what we are doing. There's always hope.... and the precautionary principle.

if you are a science fiction lover, you may try to read Michael Crichton's State of Fear. There are some interesting insights of global warming. Believe them or not, it's up to you :D
