    one of the toughest ones for me was 6x7=42

    Pretty sequences.

    I taught my daughters:
    6x7 = 5x7(+7)

    They could do any multiple of 3s and 5s thanks to schoolhouse rock.
    10's were easy.
    Adding or subtracting one of the multiples gave them 2s, 4s, 6s, and 9s.

    That left only 7x7, 8x7, 7x8, and 8x8.

    Memorizing 4 instead of 100 is a big help.

    Wow. I so suck at Math. This was interesting. :-)

    1x9=09   0+9=9
    2x9=18   1+8=9
    3x9=27   2+7=9
    4x9=36   3+6=9  (and so on down)
    5x9=45
    6x9=54
    7x9=63
    8x9=72
    9x9=81
    I thought this pretty cool.  sometimes the only way I remembered 6x9 had to equal somethng that added up to 9  (5+4 or 54)  btw  I hate math
    Boy its good thing its not all "23s"  anyone see that dumb movie with Jim Carey?

    Hi, I'm someone who had trouble in arithmatic until I read a book about kids whose family went to France and they learned the 'proof by nines'...... It is a way of adding the various parts of the equation and striking out the nines, and if the addition comes true the multiplication and division comes true. This uses what I found out later is also used in gematria--(understanding names and phenomena by converting them into numbers)....I have a notebook somewhere where I worked out sums similar to what you have up there.... These methods could be ways of teaching kids math that would make them very happy (I taught proof by nines to some of the kids I taught in elementay school and they liked it)...... In the proof by nines and geomatria sums go like this 1+9= 1 (the nine is exxed out). 1+9=10 = 1+0=1 etc. Okay 11=1+1=2, 12= 1+2=3. 10=1 If I can remember how it works with multiplication: try 43 times 64 that gives me 2,752. Now how do I know that this is correct quickly (without a machine.) I go 4+3=7, 6+4=10= 1, then I multiply the 7 and the 1 and get 7, now if the sum adds up to 7 I'm okay and can go on to the next problem 2+7=9=0, 5+2=7 Both the numbers being multiplied and the sum of those numbers equal 7, I got a correct answer. Sorry but I forget exactly how to do this with division --I just remultiply. This got me through elementary school and helped in high school (when I could not to save my life use a slide rule, or understand logorithms and calculators were still science fiction).

    I am beginning to like numbers and the mysteries of happenings like my mom being born 1935 me in 1953 and when she was 53, I was 35.

    I think numbers have  massive relevance to our lives!! I'm just reading up on numerology, its always fascinated,  I hate maths but I do see the beauty in it...  one of my biggest regrets...is not learning times tables as a child :-)

You do not really have to worry whether your ex is thinking about you or not. More than likely, your ex is actually thinking about you even when you don't make any effort....
conversations I just had in the office.

"I hate to tell you this, but the correction you just sent out is still wrong"

"are you sure?!!"

followed by

"what is the problem?"

"I don't know, if ...
I admit, the title was just a random thought while cleaning that literally made me laugh out loud, lol. Glad nobody was home. :-p...
It feels good to just do it this way sometimes....
Who thought it could be so simple?...
