Well #1 the dude is 1/2 white through parentage and was raised by that side of his family. #2 Can someone tell me the difference between: "acting white and acting black"? There is a civil Rights issue called Jena6:6Black young men beat a white youngman after 3nooses were hung from a tree for all to see in their school courtyard where there have been other racially charged incidents btwn the white and black students population in previous months.
These 6youngmen were then Charged as adults with Attempted murder(normally an assult charge and as minors which might intitle them to their records being sealed or exponged when they get older.
In some good news(I don't condone the violence but I understand the fustrations),The supreme court already aquitted one of the youngmen being charged as an adult. The statue doesn't qualify. And the heat is on with a National spotlight being shined on the issue. Obama said: The outrage over an injustice like Jena6 is not a matter of black and white so much as an issue of right or wrong. And this was thought out and discussed this with Jesse's own son who is Obama's campaign chairman.
When confronted Jackson Sr. says he doesn't recall the comment. But that if "he" was a candidate he'd be all over Jena. That this is a defining moment, just like Selma was a defining moment. Sounds like to me someone wants to relive their glory days and is a little jealous of Mr.Obama b/c he is the ideal candidate that Jesse wasn't and couldn't be. Jesse's mouth got in the way all those years ago(remember his "Hymie Town comment") and is still getting in the way now. Support him if you are going to but don't flip flop on Obama I say.
