Bitterness is a positive emotion...
It is one of are defence mechanism that help us battle failures and pain...

Bitter people are the stronger people... Because a strong individual knows how to control their feelings and emotions... And a bitter individual knows when to realize that it's ENOUGH and it's OVER...  They are rational enough to accept the truth, no matter how painful it is... And it is one way of moving on...

Like in love... Their are an instance in my life where-in I told a girl that "I still love you but I don't want to be with you anymore because..."

IMO, bitterness is a NEGATIVE emotion. The outcome of this emotion depends on one's disposition: it can become worse, or it can become a stepping stone in becoming a better person.

Deranged but a little bit true... A positive way to define bitterness..

Yeah red, very deranged but not a little bit true... It is the truth...

Hey lioness, is being a stepping stone to become a better person a negative emotions??? Being bitter means accepting your failure and then convinced yourself that "it is not my lost"

WTF? I said: a negative emotion can make one a better person.

No, a bitter person throws his weight around, is hostile and sarcastic towards others, he thinks he is the best, and he knows it all. A bitter person likes to make other  people suffer and finds great pleasure in doing so. Accepting one's failure is not bitterness. It is complete acceptance and submission: humility.

    I rest my case.

Lioness: Hostile? I don't think so... Sarcastic? Maybe, but not towards other but to the situation... He doesn't think that he is the best, or he think that he knows it all... He's just saying something that can regain his pride back (because that's his defence to himself)... Yes, humility is one way of accepting failures, and admiting to other how loser you are... Did I convinced you my dear lioness... lol

But honestly, I respect your opinion my dear lioness... I hope I'm not offending you or something... I'm just trying to inject my unconventional view of life to your head... lol

unknown, are you saying that it is synonymous with sour graping (the defense mechanism you've been talking about)? You see this as something positive? It still looks self-serving to me.. it's a very selfish gesture.

Oh well, thanks for injecting something into this obsolete brain of mine. LOL Opinions are opinions. And I respect your perspective as well.  Upps, I already said I rest my case. Geez. See you in the morrow.

Yes lioness, That the very thing I want to tell you... turning bitter into something sweet... sour graping...
