So I come up with something. I post it on Soul Cast. 20 people read it, 2 people comment on it, next thing I know I have a dialogue going, and I start to like somebody.
I post it on MySpace. My numbers go up. 10 readers today, 30 readers this week, 7788 readers cumulative, whatever. No comments. Just numbers. Where's the fun in that? Looking at numbers?

That's precisely why I don't blog at My Space anymore. It was very difficult, if not impossible, to actually meet someone new there and strike up a real friendship or conversation. For such a 'social networking' site, it's pretty shallow and impersonal.

Yeah, I stopped blogging on Myspace because the blog feature is buried behind 3000 other bells, whistles and things that blink. That's probably why blog entries on Myspace often go unnoticed.
I prefer blogging in smaller communities like this one just because statistics really don't tell the whole story. I've got 195 friends and about 4600 profile views, but I really only talk to about 10 people. Here on Soulcast, my blogs average about 60 views and three comments, but I communicate with mostly everyone on my subscriptions list.

The only reason WHY I have a myspace is because my Husband's Uncle (58-60 years old) wanted to stay in touch with family. I have a private profile, as if it matters. What I can't stand is running Ad-aware scans after I'm on myspace and seeing the red numbers go up and up! Then running my spyware after that, still catches things. I try to stay away from there as much as possible, but it is now how the family posts about "gatherings" and I'm forced to check it at least 5 times a month.Daily -

I have pictures of me and my kids on myspace, and its mostly for people I went to school with....its how we keep in touch since we are all spread across the country. A few people on here know what I look like because I've shared a picture once or twice, but I definitely like the annonymous in annonymous blogging. :-) Minnie -

Rupert, it wasn't about you. They send those things to everyone. I get them all the time and I just delete them. What did she really want? Money I guess. I never got that far to investigate. I guess you have to pay something in order to sign up to see videos or something. Don't really know, just guessing, it must be about money. I'd estimate that I got 60 requests like that. -
