It's easy to misjudge people by reading their posts.
English is my second language and I encounter difficulties in writing with this language.
and what I wrote is only as good as my vocabulary and understanding of this language.
I'm sure I have been wrong and use the wrong grammar or words instead on more than one occasion.
Well, the trick with mastering a language is through continues practice, right.
And this is not only the hindrance that I encounter while trying to communicate with people using another language.
there's racial differences
different beleif systems and status quos
There's not a chance that you can empathize truly, fully and selflessly.
and what you don't undertand or experience for yourself, you can easily dismiss as nonsense or unworthy of your time.
If I will be honest here, I'd say most people here in SC is boring.
Their life and situations don't interest me, especially those people who seems to breath and live to write and read about sex...
But that would be picking a fight, right?
i'm sure there will be people who will be ready to jump at my throat at the slightest provocations.
you people, bore me. really.
We don't share anything in common, that's why I don't read and comment in your posts.
Will you take this as an insult? Will this offend you?
i'm not mother theresa, I don't love everybody.
I have preferences, I only subscribe to people whom I find interesting and can contribute to my overall
personal growth.
If I have been wrong about you then it's my fault and not being able to know you more will be enough punishment.
So, let live.
and if you also think that i'm boring and too emotional or dramatic ( of which I really am) then what are you doing reading my posts anyway??!
If I had written an appeal, it's for those people who can empathize at some point.
And I have thanked them from the bottom of my heart.
I'm a person who find it difficult to ask for help because I am very independent.
So, when I ask for help, I'm really at a lost there.
and if I will be judged because I asked for help then that's fine with me.
I am always told I'm too apathetic in real life.
If I have offended, misjudged, misread, or belittle anyone it's an honest mistake.
MY perception and understanding are limited by my life experiences and acquired knowledge.
And so are YOU...

Ella.......English is not my first language either...i completely understand that you dont want to be misunderstood, misinterpreted and read in the wrong way. As i was writing to a fellow Scaster earlier, words are powerful and dangerous.
But they are also flexible and versatile. So if somebody hurts you can tell them, if your sentence is misunderstood, you can rewrite it..
I found you perfectly readible and interesting ...but i know that when somebody doeent want to read the real words that are said or written you can be even Shakespeare but they will never get you and they will twist your meanings.
And about coming from different background.....each of us is different...i found that empathy and compassion are great tools to reach out....even if we might not understand completely the situations or the actions... hope you dont consider me boring ....who cares abou the others...LOL..(kidding))

queen: thank you. hey, illonggos are MUCH BETTER in english than most tagalogs. you can even use the english language with more confidence than we do. who cares about spelling? I don't. maybe the english majors or teachers sometimes.

It's only recent that I have been commenting on your posts but I have been one of the silent readers. You're way too amusing to be missed. thank you for your kind words. We who don't speak english as our native tounge are always careful with using it. How can i think of you as boring?? You who can make a fly hunting activity turned into a much celebrated fiasco! Hey, Ella! English is my first language, and I understood you perfectly. Your command of English is better than you think! If you have difficulty with the language, all you need to do is say so. Somebody is always willing to help. There is a delightful mix of people here on SC. Yes, and some of us might be boring (Ho-Hum!). But, we're there for each other, no matter what. -
