  I think that we can also turn this the other way, there are women who only want sex from men as well, although it is more common for males to be inclined in this way.
   
  My hb wanted me for my body at first, then because I let him be him and then he well didn't want me much anymore..... sex can wear thin after a while... but friendship stays forever in my books.... a lot of men simply don't or don't want to understand women, I've met very few who are interested.... and know what they are one > doing, and two > how to get great sex with the women they love by knowing HOW to love their women.

  Unfortunately I have only met one man in my life who wasn't all wrapped up in the whole sex first thing, and I still question the motives behind that. Most men use their little head before the big one. :-/    ( I know, I'm sour)

  Coming from a single womans point of view....this is how it would seem.  Most of the men I have dated in the last year seem to want nothing but that.  Wich sex is great and its something we all need.  But there is so much more to a relationship than just sex!!!

  It definetley seems that way. I hated dating. I was basically expected to put out just  because he was seen with me. I was dumped many, many times because I refused to. It hurt ... and I became really resentful. I dated a few who would just cheat away like it was no big deal. I married one .... which just reinforces the fact (in my mind) that all they're after is sex.

  I dont think sex is the only thing men want from women. There is a big problem here, in that, men =/= all men.
   
  Many men, do indeed seek the sex... and many of those men seek only sex. But there are men out there where its about just a bit more. Companionship, emotional comraderie. i dont think only women crave these things.
   
  Sex is a component of that sure, but it is not the end all be all of it. I think whats more valuable is the pure intimacy involved, and most of the time, for men, that involves sex. but there are a few men out there, where there is something more.

  Sex is not better than love. Love is the best thing in the world, but no-one knows untill they find it. Once you find true love you will never settle for sex. The trouble is, so many people think they are in love, when in fact it's just the chemicals caused by attraction. Love itself is very rare, but when it comes it stays for a lifetime.
