i actually don't have many of my grandparents here at the house. they are all mostly at my parents. our walls have been taken over by pictures of the little man. i do have a beautiful picture of my dad's late sister that i need to find just the right antique frame for and put it up.
The top of these two is my dad in about 1914. He was in an opera. My grandmother had to have a picture of him with his leading lady. He couldnt stand her! LOL.
The lower picture is around 1890. The boy in the picture wasa mentally challenged man who my mother assisted. His father is the man mentioned in another post. He was a mule skinner during the Riel rebellion and was held as a prisoner for 12 days in Pound Makers (indian chief) camp.
looking at the photos i can hear the song....Somewhere in time... it reminded me of christofer reeves and... hmm i forgot the name of that actress!.... she was dressed just the same way as the one in the first photo.
When I opened your post I did one of those silent "Oh!!!"s. These are beautiful Botoni! I'm also a huge fan of vintage pictures. I'm a closet sentimentalist. Do you have a lot of the older pictures? They are beautifully displayed.
