  I have often traveled the road that has the sign for Bat Cave and I know exactly where that is (apparently there are more than one, but I know for a fact where that picture was taken, and it's in my state - right road and all). :-D It's actually a really humdrum sort of place. ;-)

  awe crap that isn't what I pasted you can erase but google the site and it has pictures and stories It is pretty interesting. people usually think of bats as rabid evil but they actually help with the insect population.

  Thanks Travis. When I looked at it it did not look like that.  We have Alto Frio Bat Caves too. I believe it is 2nd largest.  The Pictures are amazing and the videos. People come from all over the world to see them. They migrate here from mexico and the pregnant moms give birth to their pups here. In the evening "Millions" come out to feed and funnel out to the sky. The call it a bat tornado. (No they don't attack people) you also see hawks and big birds feeding on the bats (not sure I'd care to see that, but find this bit of nature, oblivious to all the progress around it, fascinating).
