I grew up a dog lover and even somewhat of a cat hater. I got my dislike of cats from my mom. But later in life having owned my share of both cats & dogs I have a clear preference for cats. Maybe it's because I'm lazy, but cats are by far less maintenance. My fish/aquarium is more trouble than our cats. OK so maybe I can't teach them any tricks but my cats have grown on me. I never would have believed years ago I would ever own a cat let alone four of them.
