have a nice weekend ed!!! =)
Ed....its 10:30 am here in sunny Texas. My daughter and I have already been to her first soccer game of the season. It was a tie. My One wasn't able to run much because three days ago she pulled her rigth quad doing the try-out for the shool volleyball team. She made it but is still limping. So this morning she did what she could.....
Right now she is taking a shower and i am sipping my deserved second coffee. i bet she will crash in front of tv for the morning.
After lunch we will go to severe the tie with my cell provider. I have to cancel my family plan that its strangling me and buy her a pay-to- go phone. Cheaper, less bloody for me.
Its a sunny day here but still too humid for my like. This morning at 7 when i walked the dog I stopped underneath some tall trees and just took in the colder breeze,.....this summer will end, eventually...
I will be here too, as usual. My daily addiction has to be satisfied.....
Later on in the evening i wouldn't not mind join Traveler for a drink.....but not now...:-0
ed today's selection was:
Young People Fucking...uhuh...that's the title. Had a 2 min. movie before it called I've Never Had Sex. Filmed on the guys camera phone. Was cute. The main movie was a humorous look at 5 couples/stories (a married couple, first date, exes, best friends, and roommates) during an evening of sex - from the intro/foreplay through to afterglow. They did all five stories/couples at each stage then moved on to the next stage for all 5 couples/stories.
My Child Could Paint That - a documentary of a 4 year old girl in New York who paints modern art (similar to Pollock), that had 2 showings at art galleries (one in NYC and one on the west coast) at 4 and sold her paintings for $20K!. Was an interesting mix of the art, the effect of a 60 Minutes exposé saying her Dad painted/helped her paint, and the effect on the family.
Under the Same Moon was a Mexican film (in Spanish) about a 9 year old boy in Mexico who lives with his grandmother because his Mom is an illegal, working in LA (for 4 years) trying to save enough money to get herself legal and her son with her. The grandmother dies and the movie shows the boys adventures to try to find his Mom. Running parallel (but without the same significance) is a story about the Mom's life...how she works 2 jobs, loses 1, has the opportunity to marry a legal Mexican who lives in LA 'who clearly loves her (when she does not love him), and her guilt over being away from her son for so long and her decision whether to return to him in Mexico.
All were very good. We've got huge numbers of Hollywood stars etc. in the city for the film festival but I prefer to visit the foreign films and those that are less likely to make it to the big screen.
Any ways, you asked....
Ed...my daughter plays in defense and she is really good but the coach insists on using her also as gollie when he wants gibe a break to the head gollie. She hates being in that position. The season is going to be pretty though this year...they are on a more competive level .
I had my fun with my friends screaming as usuals on borderfield though.......
My family plan in with Cingular.......awful..i just called and they asked me to pay a fee of $175 for interrupting the plan before the end of the 2 year contratc....damnit....
