Lawn tennis just tennis, for short. The US Open is still on - semi-final stages now. There have been some big upsets, while some people have equally been really upset, again.
Venus William versus Ivanovic was really a no contest - even though the latter had been ranked higher by seeding.
Unfortunately, Serena was bundled out - again by Henin-Hardene.
Then, Ferrer halted Nadal's attempt to cross paths again with Roger Federer in NYC - 'Ferrer did Federer a favor' sounds like a good rhyme, wouldn't you agree?
Finally, Federer overcame Andy Roddick on home turf, also again - how frustrating getting beaten, even with the help of tenacious tennis great, Jimmy Connors as his coach, among others.
However, I must ask: should Andy Roddick have been so ticked off and aggressive? See this excerpt of his after-match speech:
[..."I'm not walking with my head down. I played my ass off
out there. I played the right way. It helps, but that doesn't mean I
can't be p****d off."]
Hmmmm,,,looks like he still has a score to settle sometime, doesn't it? Sports rivalry like this one, hopefully, should not degenerate to violence or personal attacks.
After all, Roger is the best - to be beaten by the Numero Uno should not be a shameful thing!
