Guys, I think I have decided on what I want to do with my spare time. I have a spare room that had been kept vacant for guests.
We haven't had guests for months now. Our friends and family live nearby now. Since we moved house, there was no need for our family members and close friends to stay the night during a visit.
So, I have decided that the spare room would now be converted into an interesting games room for adults and play room for the children,
We need the extra room to keep traffic off the sitting room. In terms of maintenance, it would help a lot to spread out the wear and tear on the sofa elsewhere.
The poker table alone wouldn't do now because I am sure that we would be able to get more people to come by as poker playing partners.
After taking a close look at the available poker tables - please see my previous post on this - a little earlier on today, I believe I should go for one of the
Cardroom Supply Poker Table Sets.
They are a bit expensive. However, since the entire spare room will be converted into a combined adults' games and children's play room, the expense would be well worth it.
What do you think, Guys? Any suggestions?
Once I get your feedback, the only thing left would be to submit my annual leave application and to use my leave bonus for the conversion of the spare room.

WOW!my parents played poker. my mother's sisters were all avid poker players (every week), and we had a poker table in our den for years-i think if you really play, that it's worth spending the money on one of these tables- but if not, then why not just invest in a nice air hockey or foosball table or even a pool table?shop around some more before you buy bronx, because the prices on that website were high.i hope you have a grand 41 days off! -

SL: thank you very much. Yes, 41 days - roughly an extra two weeks for missed casual leave and so on.
You know, I think you are right - a pool table would probably be better for me. I really love that game - I was good at it in college and it is one game that I can play solo, if everyone else is busy or something.
I can just hear my own soliloquy, "Rack 'em up, Dude!" ;)
