Let's do something fun today!
 
Since my new room is basically a blank canvas, let's play interior decorator and submit design plans.  The only restrictions you have to deal with is the room size of approx. 10 X 12 ft and the black 3 shelf book case.
 
Based on what you know of me, what do you propose I do with this space?  Go wild, use your imagination, work on an imaginary limitless budget!

    First and formost you need a real bed!!  A practical bed, but a femine touch, say  one with lots of pillows  a couple of nice scatter rugs soft and fluffy to match your comfy fluffy comforter. Maybe all nice and white things with accents of sage and lavender. A couple of nice candles on your night stand scented of course.  A couple of nice watercolor paintings on the wall to pull out the sage and lavender colors.  A nice comfy chair in the corner with a reading lamp for late nite reading or a place you can take your laptop to SC with.  A beautiful hand crafted armoire (sp) to keep all your new clothes in.  And on the bottom shelf of your bookcase a funky little stuffed cat that is laying down, maybe paisley color and a box to hold your dreams.

    Quietone has described a neat room far as I can tell. I'd make the bed queen size in America's most popular bed, a good quality Sealy Posturpedic. A tv and dvd player with a small stereo alongside would be nice. A small portable fridge in the corner is a must.

    Last touch- Wile E. Coyote sitting by the door to scare off any errant fleas trying to enter your domain.

    quietone - I like the room!  I especially like the dream box.
     
    BTV - LOL I had to laugh at the Wile E. Coyote by the door.  The electronics touches do add to the livability of the room.

    If nothing else uniquely...get yourself a real bed!!  the rest will fall into place!  :) and you will feel so much better.

    SW - you just may, since that's the only piece of furniture in my assembly repretoire
