People are using symbols to present they are vampires, but the most funny ones I have ever seen is : [ , like the poeple have vampiric teeth....but I am talking about is not the modern internet language, but the ancient ones, I often watch cartoon or film to describe vampires. It seems that they always using strange symbols to draw on the doors , walls, or floors...most of which are bloody alike( Blood both fascinates us and repulses us) but I still have no idea whether these symbols has any meanings....of course they should have, to attract people's eyeballs :) but does anyone have any informations about the real symbols and their history, sth like pentagram.

    well first off, there is an "ankh" which represents eternal life and lust. Both of which we (vampires) derrive from. It was in egypt when it came to be and since then we hav used it. The pentagram, each corner stands for something "Ton, Te,Tra, Ma, Gran", unfortunately I cant share any further information with you on that subject because it is not my place to inform a human of such things. And you can try to look them up, but it will be on no internet blog or dictionary. Good luck, you'll need it. And please we arent evil, we just hav a better diet then you. =]

    Sorry to ever be the skeptic here but surely a "real vampire" who is privy to ancient information and a secret society would know at least how to spell and the difference between the use of "than" as in...we just have a better diet THAN you... and "then" which makes no sense in respect to the afformentioned sentence. But the i guess we can all be who we believe we are on the net, just a shame there aren't any REAL "real vampires" out there. Its been a lifelong wish to meet one. not just the randoms who have a psychological dependancy on blood and no immortal bragging rights whatsoever.

    Actually, you'd be surprised by how many you've ran into in your day-to-day crossings, M4lic3. It's not the stereotypical being you'd think to have met. We don't perish in sunlight, we just prefer darkness. We don't drink blood from virgins, any will do just find. I prefer mine without any diseases or impurities though. As for the teeth, they retract. You'd be amazed at how many people I can freak out on a daily basis. I'll sit in class, extend my teeth, and grin at a neighbor. I watch their eyes fill with shock as I close my mouth, tilt my head, and smile again without long incisors. You just have to watch whom you meet. Ancient vampiric symbols though are a lot harder to find than your run-of-the-mill vampire because those that have been turned are not necessarily educated in their history. Many are bitten and left for dead in a dark alley. They awake, thirsty and live their life as the party-goers do, leading prey into the darkness with their charm and beauty, then BAM. Dead. I wish you luck though, I truly do. =]

    if so then prove it to  anonymous, im kind of calling you out, come find me? eh more than likely its in your abilities, im not saying you are and im not saying your not a vampire. its been an obsession of mine to find a vampire, but aren't you generally supposed to stay quiet about anything that your kind has to say? your history's are mysteries hence why no average human can find out or figure out many of your secrets and i don't follow people into alley's that is to stereo typical  though it is the  easiest way to blame it on a robbery. Prove it.

    Oh and i've just come across some lovely info on the pentacle. I wear one myself and was just told about its history. The shape of the pentacle actually traces the exact path of the planet Venus, symbol of femininity, from Earths perpective through the stars and every few hundred years it reaches the point of the pentacle and shines through a window in an ancient church in england (who's name i can't remember) and lights up the whole church red. Which further validates my point that a pentacle can never ever be used as an evil symbol. Turned upside down for satanists its still just Venus moving around the universe peaceful and happy.

     -My body ages, the soul doesn't. I could easily stop aging, but that would be highly noticeable, don't you think?

    -Definitely not. I was 6 when turned.

    -Rituals, not allowed to go into detail. Sorry.

    -High ranking member of the coven.

    -You easily can. If you are in enough control, you can go days to months without feeding at all.

    -Repairing, or regeneration only happens when severe injury occurs. I have 2 tattoos and have dyed my hair multiple times.

    -I can't until I rank higher, but I would if need be. Trust me though, this life is not as amazing as you would hope it to be. The novels and movies have nothing on it.

    -*Parent. & yes.

    -No, you learn control. You are specifically taught control for situations where you are weak and hungry.

    -I can eat it & I rather enjoy it. Unfortunately no person could live on it alone. It's like a vegetarian, they don't eat meat, but need their protein to survive.

    -Cannot be released. Sorry.

    -Absolutely. Of course my teeth are larger than everyone relaxed, but when released, they peek through my lips.

    -Not at all. Sun, I go swimming and play soccer. Garlic, is amazingly good on pizza. Holy water, does in fact tingle. That's about it.

    -I can keep this body as long as I'd like, but if need be, I can be reborn into another, un-aging one. My soul is forever bound here though.
    What are you going to do with your gift?
    -I help people. I have a lot of compassion and empathy for them. I am a frequent counselor on suicide hot lines and my AIM is always open to those in need. When this all scared me & I no longer wanted it, I attempted suicide 111+ times.

    Slightly. In a normal, controlled stage, I am a bit over the competition. However, when provoked to the point of no return, aka my senses are livid, I could easily kill anything.

    -No. Not at all. Ask the 1/2 pound tumor on my spine.

    -Since I keep this body alive, I would catch it. Suspended animation bodies would not.

    I'm just enthralled by your answers and impressed by your honesty. You're so lucky to have this gift, I feel death creeping up on me every day and it scares me, i don't want to be old and frail, i don't want to forget the faces of my loved ones or be bed ridden, i don't want to see my mother die or be sick and age, she's all i have and she's just been in ICU this weekend for heart arythmia. So I take your answers seriously because I like to believe there's a chance for me to get more out of this life even if it is living vicariously through people with your gift. I'm sorry for being so serious but this weekend has just made me see how fragile life really is.     I'm terribly sorry about your mother, but glad you can see the truth in the situation. I do want to tell you that everything happens for and within reason. I hope she will be fine, but something tells me she will be anyway. Death is a scary thought. If I refuse to suspend myself, it could take me also. I'm fragile, just not as fragile as you. On a 1-10 scale, 10 being the highest, you are a 3, I am a 6, and immortals are a 10. Life and death are hard to cope with, on both ends of the spectrum. Adding me on MySpace is fine.     omg do you people seriously have nothing better to do with you life than sit around and talk about who's a vampire and who's not? yes they are real, just not like what the movies makes them out to be. the rules of my house forbid me to talk about my knowledge however i can tell you this, BACK TO THE TOPIC, the main symbol of the vampire is the Ankh. different symbols are used as well but it depends on the type of vampire. and the Pentagram M4lic3 has many different meanings behind it, its more than just femininity.

And secondly the original meaning of the pentacle as CREATED by pagans studying the sky for centuries was the pattern venus traces thoughout the sky from our perspective on earth. Is this were it all started, Who was the First? 2. Why not rule man instead of hiding in the shadows? 3. Immortality.     But you choose to use a name like that and INSULT someone who drinks blood I really love people like you. I also do not need a lot of money, power or influence... I don’t need a website little one or even a coven to know what I am.... I also do not need the internet... But every once in a great while it is nice to chat with real people.

    I see you picked up on a few things, most would not...

    And yes you are exactly correct in your words... Interesting, A warning, Advice, Sadistic, and sarcastic tone.

    There are some of us that do not need a mask or a false since of words.

    Some of us have traveled many paths and experienced light and dark roads, trying to maintain a balance is the most challenging part. Trying to fit in when you are different and relate to those that are not like you is a very hard task. It leaves you wanting for more.

    That is why places like this are formed people reach out for others in the hope that they may also be the same, have the same issues, without really revealing who they are.

    I have seen many people like Azazel in my time, trying to tell people what is right and what is wrong.  Telling those that are confused, that there is only one true path is very wrong and sometimes can end badly.

    Trying to pass judgment, is like a double edged sword... Be careful, you never know when someone will be willing to outright challenge you.

    Look at what happened with Cain and Abel...

    I can say this there are many paths,...  These paths are made up of light and darkness each one has its own secrets that are meant to stay that way.  But sometimes you can be in the right place at the right time and things open your eyes for you. Some may wish for death, then at the last minute choose life and then in that moment in time things become clear to a choosing few.... You make a choice the light or dark road. Either way some have the tools already, it’s the will that most lack. If you truly want to find something or be a certain way then seek it out, learn, read, and while you are traveling your path it or they will find you. One other thing no matter what path you choose trying to find your way back because you feel you made a bad choice is also difficult. Once you find what you are looking for it becomes a part of you. This part of you from that day forward can never really be shut off by moving forward it just becomes re-pressed .

But there still is a few people who choose to make it hard on kind pagan people and most of the people who make it hard, are those that really don’t even know their own religion to begin with. Well I'll give those people a few thoughts to ponder the bible was written by the winners in history,... not the losers Look at how many things that did not make it into print because of the winners and how it did not benefit them at that given time. It’s sort of like the blind leading the blind. I research and find all these many things interesting.

    Let’s look at the book of nod fake right? A made up game, what about Revelations of the Dark Mother the book of Lilith fake right a made up game?

    Well research the true facts on caine and Lilith and how Lilith is talked about in the Hebrew bible... Was Lilith really Adams first wife before eve read the fiction and research who they really are. What were they in history what did they do. They say within fiction you can always find out true facts for the most part.

    It’s easy for people to say the unknown is fake or not real,... Or say the devil made me do it.

    Vampyre645, If you truly know your craft, research and read,.. You will come to find I have pointed you in one of many directions to begin to find what you seek.  As you learn on your solitary road keep the things you learn to yourself.  May your Mother Goddess and Father God forgive you someday,.. for the day will come when you look to them again maybe not now, but if you have a family someday you make look to them again for inner peace.  I know because I struggle with all of it,.. Who or what was I in a past life,.. Sometimes I think I must have been the devils son,.. But deep down I’m too afraid to find out,  Why did I live and not die? Why do I feel like the Mother Goddess and Father God do not hear me calls, Even if I know why, When you do get to the end of the path and you find your answers you start to look back and ask yourself How or why did I even go there.  You know, I know a lot of people that fall into the dark path, some not by choice others because they think it’s a game or show, and then there are those that are the real thing turned by real evil or invoked its all the same once this happens you are never the same person always wanting more, some feel like they are trapped within themselves, some just plainly go mad, mentally and physically. There are a few that can control their inner demons and use these gifts but are still bound by their own human flesh.  Lastly fully submitting mind, body and soul given up all that is or was once you… friends, loved ones, happiness, all that is good.  You don’t really hear of those people to much, (I wonder why?) I myself was never really willing to give up everything that made me, me.  So here I am with my own issues that I deal with daily and nightly.

    I don’t know why I feel a need to talk about this, I usually don’t even post anything I just read a lot. Im sure some nut job will have something to say or someone I know may find this,.. But it’s ok like I said before I don’t wear a mask nor do I fear anyone or thing.  

    I can’t come right out and tell you what I did to get the result you seek, most are right it is not aloud there are others out there just like me with a few differences I will at least point you to a few places. And answer some general stuff no matter who it makes angry.

    If you do not believe in kinship, covens, gathering together or mate ship of any sort then why try to speak on a topic like that… where everything you type is going to come out being negative. Why would any type of person want to talk to you about that?

    Which brings me to my next question… Why post on a message board at all then? In a way this is a place where people go to log on and talk, ask question and hopefully get an intelligent response back. This is also a place where people can be who they choose to be and really not have to worry about the outside world for the most part. I have no problem with you creating your own dark path and wondering on it alone, but do not come here and bash or insult others for what they believe along with any questions they ask because they have a different outlook on things.

    I know what it is like to be alone in your own dark world, with the only thing to keep you company is the thoughts that run through your head. I know what it is like to be judged by others for not fitting in or conforming to your surroundings. That is why I try to blend into to the here and now, but when the sun goes down then that’s a different story. Those that poke and make fun step outside into the night and begin to wonder what is out there, that gives them those odd feelings or cold chills and sometimes those people happen to end up in the wrong place at the right time and then the real reality begins to set in.

    So when you say Take a stand I’ve done all that and then some, That’s why I try to help others along the way that might get lost on their  journey down their path no matter what the path maybe, I try to offer a bit of guidance.

    No matter who or what you are there is a time and place for everything. That is why most are not opening to talking or answering questions, the best thing that has ever happened to us is the classification of the word fiction.

    If you can not feel it, taste it, touch it, see it, hear it, is it really real?

    The only answer I get from godly people is well that’s why we have our faith to guide us…

    There is no light without darkness… So if the people of the light can have faith why cant others of a different path.

    I came across this blog looking for things on symbols.  I just wanted to add to the original poster that many colleges have classes on this, usually in the slavic department, as many can agree that the 'lore' of the ancient vampire origninated in Eastern Europe, though nearly every culture has their versionof some sort of vampiric being, whether psychic or physical. 

    I am really surprised at how the blog by summoned skull turned into something so different than an answer to the question.  It seems like there are so many people simply at an awkward stage in life, and others who are rather knowledgeable in vampirism and paganism. May I pose a question?  Why are so many who claim to be vampires a part of the neo-paganism movement?  (I say claim because I think that some are just lost, not a knock to the genuine).  It just seems that at the heart, these are two different beliefs (and I believe very much that they are real), yet so many are a part of both.  I am just curious.  It is a sincere question, so I hope I didn't offend anyone.

    Nick I think you have made a very good choice. I use to think the same way believe it or not. I’m going to tell you a few personal things about myself that I usually would not even begin to post on an open board but o well. When I first started down that path I was alone and confused I really didn’t understand what was going on. I knew what ritual magic was, from being introduced to paganism at a young age. My friend and I use to practice and follow the wiccan religion it got to the point I took down my bed and would sleep in my ritual area, It was my life I was always reading and learning, I also did ritual every week on the weekends plus honored the god and goddess every full moon along with all the holidays. It worked so well they became a big part of my very being I found such a peace it made me feel like I was meant for great things. It was like I could ask for something and they would hear me and I was never alone. But as I grew in the religion my friend did not and he decided to move on to trivial things instead of working on progressing down the wiccan path. When my friend left it really never seemed to be the same for me anymore. Bad things started to happen and my great balance in life felt like it was being torn down around me. Moving forward a bit down the time line, I started into darker things, invoking anything that would hear me. Not really vampire type beings just anything that was considered dark or evil according to the Christian religion. Sometime pasted maybe a year or so and then I started seeing a lot of weird and crazy stuff at night even when I went out with friends just to hang out like if we would go hang out at the park after hours. A few of my friends started to think I was crazy, but then stuff started getting stronger like to the point that my friends would see some of the same things to the point that it started to scare them so some of them stopped hanging out with me, I had a few of them stick by me, but you know how that go’s. As I kept going on things just kept getting darker I became dark, I hated people, I hated the light, but I dreaded the nightfall for things seem to just torture me at night even when I tried to sleep. If you are wondering where my parents were, I had a mom no dad in the picture so she just tried to do the whole mom thing, tried to push her godly wisdom and the bible off on me and when that did not work the next step was doctors and head drugs. Nothing really seemed to help me. So one night I went out by myself because I couldn’t handle any more of the crazy crap and started to look for answers. A lot becomes clear when you travel a dark road with your eyes and ears open, and no one else is around.  It’s easy to claim to be something when you are in a group of people or you are doing things just for show. But when it’s just you and your thoughts and you realize you are now what you were looking for, you just can’t turn it off, it’s not a game, it’s not a show, it’s really real, what others think doesn’t even come into play anymore. You have to face it all alone at the end of the day and deal with it. This is another very long reason or statement why I choose to help others or maybe provide a bit of input. So to those that think the dark road is a game or a show, it’s best not to attempt to travel it.

    Feelings of anxiety and wanting something that cannot be explained does not mean that one doesn't need any of the things that fail to quench the thirst/longing/whatever at the time.
    Sleep/rest is required and unless it is a personal preference, sex is also very much on the agenda.

    I noticed someone in an earlier post was writing a book.  I'm not asking these questions for that reason.  I am genuinely curious.

    Do either of you think that a psychic vampire exists and if so are they the same, similar, or different than you?

    Have either of you 'turned' someone?  If you can turn someone, doesn't that contradict the idea of being chosen?

    Well it’s kind of hard to say yes or no to the question you are asking are you a vampire or not. Because I know some that enjoy blood as in the taste of it, they hate sun light and considered themselves night owls, they stay up all night even work the night shift, and sleep during the day. About the anxiety, they are also high strung, as in have a hard time sitting still, they always have to be on the move.

    But, in your case, feeling different and having a want for something that you just can’t seem to satisfy along with urges to bite things is a different story all together.  Also having heightened scenes is another odd factory, but there are some people that are above the norm when it comes to that.

    From what you told me here I will try to point you in a direction that may or may not help. But if you get time to tell me the rest of your issue or maybe a bit more input, the better I may be able to aid in answering your question.

    Your Quote: “whether or not I have vampiric blood in me”  Honestly I can say there is three ways I will generally mention. The first way is being turned by another and you would know if you were. The second being born into the blood line, even if not being born directly into the blood line we all inherit things from our descendants  so maybe trace your family tree and find out if you had any people in your family that were considered to be a bit odd if you know what I mean. The third is by invoking, calling on beings that for the most part should not be called upon unless you are very strong willed and well grounded in ritual type background. Even then things can still go very wrong.

    Now when you get the odd feelings and anxiety during the night try cooking yourself up a rare steak, don’t move right into the whole blood ordeal because there is a lot of issues with that. Eat the steak and find a quite place and shut your eyes, maybe even do a bit of meditation. See if the anxiety passes in about 20mins or so. Learning control is the first step to peace, for you and maybe even your family if this is also affecting your home life.

    If this solution happens to work for you, then maybe we should do a bit more exploring.

    To answer your question paganism is a very big topic, and you can go in many directions with it. Think of paganism in a way, as a big tree with many branches and Wicca being one of those branches that stems from it. Paganism for the most part encompasses many religions. I for one have just always associated the two together.  In away nick it is good to stick to one path, but keeping in mind it is also good to learn of others because it makes you a well rounded person with a good bit of knowledge to offer others. When people stick to one path they are less like to end up taken two steps forward on that path and five backwards if you know what I mean.  I for one never stop learning, every day and night there is some new lesson to be learned. The only thing you have to do is keep your ears and eyes open and if your are like me practice keep your mouth shut J

    Well Angel, I never really had someone truly ask me what makes me, me or even how I define myself. A lot of the typical answers you would get from most people would be I need and love blood, I hate sun light, I love or need the night.. ect..  But I really do not define myself that way.  I look at myself as a person that has traveled many walks of life starting at a very young age. These paths have been both light and dark and for the most part are dark. I have needs and wants just like any other person I try to be as real with people as possible, just because there is so much garbage out there in the world and on the internet to sift through.  A lot of people put on a show or do things that can hurt themselves because they truly are not who they claim to be and I can guarantee you it will catch up to them.  In a-way I am a product of how I lived my life and karma has a way of repaying you, some of it good and some of it being very bad. It’s like having an inner battle with yourself that you can never win, am I evil or am I good, or maybe I’m just what ignorant people say, I’m just confused, there is no such thing and it’s all in your head.  But one thing I can say to you is when night falls I’m whole, the only thing you have to do is let go, and for the true ones out there they know what I mean.  As far as being a scholar I never claim to know everything, those that say they do, stop what you are doing and walk away from them because that is the first clue, they are bad news.

    You ask how old I am, in the terms of people I’ m 28 years of age.  As far as anything else let’s just say I’m wise for my age….

    As I stated above, I battle with that concept every day and night, the only thing else I can add to that is I battle to control my urges at night and the things that sometimes runs through my head. But don’t we all have some sort of crosses to bare no matter who we are.

    The only thing I can say to that is wow, don’t hold back anything from us LOL….

    As far as blood lust, that is a tough one because that’s more of a case by case thing, some it’s site, others it maybe just the smell… Being I’ve learned to control a lot of different things my weakness is the taste. When I taste blood it’s hard for me to contain myself. There are other factors that come into play as well, like how long has it been from the last time you had any blood for example.  If you didn’t eat for two days and someone put your favorite meal in-front of you, how would you act at the dinner table, would you act all reserved, I think not… : )

    Setting a lot of the fake garbage aside, when it comes to vampires this is an easy question to answer, the answer is yes you can pass it on to your kids, When a child is born does he or she not take on features and aspects of the mother and father? The child can have some if not all the traits of a vampire.

    After everything I have been through I’m very opened minded, I personally never met a psychic vampire, I do think they exists, I have also read stories on them. They feed off your bodies energy to survive, some feed by a touch in passing, other don’t even need to touch you at all.

    Your final Question: Have either of you 'turned' someone?  If you can turn someone, doesn't that contradict the idea of being chosen?

    Have I ever turned anyone, the answer is yes, and it’s been more than one.     Anyways, you claimed to not know anything of paganism but respected wiccan ways...I added to that by answering that Wicca and paganism are like being both Methodist and Christian.  And you erred greatly in your definition.  Please, when defining things, look them up if you are unsure.  And it is very relevant, as many have posted mentioning it or asking about it.  I guess it is just another one of those 'bends' in the topic we like so much.  Anyways, paganism does not constitute non belief and had nothing to do with atheism (maybe some were taught that in church?).  Depending on who you are or what part of the world you live in, paganism is either everything that pre-dates christianity except Judaism OR anything outside christianity OR anything outside your five major world religions.  Greco-Roman religions are the major starting points for most to begin understanding this.  Yes at one time, those pantheons were very much worshipped.  Actually, Christians were considered the atheists because they did not worship the god of the state.  Atheism was tantamount to treason and punishable by death.  And Atheism means wthout god.  You can say you believe in something all you want, but if you don't actually believe, you are without god.  But you are correct in saying that they are very different.  One thing about stanism...it isn't the worship of Satan, Lucifer, the Adversary, any of that.  it is actually the worship of the self as the center of the universe.

    But nick you blew my mind in the post to james! You said you don't know about it, then you answer definitively about what it is....hmmm, then you also tr to define wicca.  Look at it this way.  (And YES listen to me, I am the near-scholar on this subject, quite literally).  ... paganism is a religion just like christianity.  there are branches of chritianity that have become extint long ago (Monists, Ebionites...).  Some are revived,  (Gnostics).  Christianity has its different denominations...there are 65,000 denominations of Protestant Christianity in the US alone!  Christianity also has Western Catholicism, Eastern Catholicism (known as roman, and orthodox), you have conservatives, liberals, C and E's, Cult of Saints, Penacostals, snake handlers, lord I could go on.  Every religion has its branches...Hinduism has several branches for each deity, and it has over 1700 deities!.  Wicca is a nature religion, many practice solitarily.  In all religions you have somewhat of a schism between the 'Great' and 'little' traditions.  The Great Tradition is the 'doctrine', dogma, whatever....it is the mainstream.  The little tradition is usually how people actually practice or believe, apart from the Great Tradition.

    And I think knowing about paganism is very important because I am sure that Vampires existed before Christianity, unless you watch things like John Carpenter's Vampires, or Vampire 2000/3000(?),.....some supposedly think that Cain was the first vampire, but he is actually a fictional character, unless you firmly believe in the Bible, Torah, Pentatuch, White Wolf Productions etc.  Some think that Judas of Iscarot was the first vampire.  Of course there are beliefs that Judas was actually jesus' chosen one (how the hell are you gonna get a martyred savior if he isn't killed?)  if you believe these things, then you are Christian, at least in part.  But what happens to the claims of other religions and societies? are they all lies, just because they are pagan and not christian?  Are you (gulp) closed minded (god forbid!).  What is happening is that there are a lot of high school kids still into the old-style goth scene and this new emo crap isn't cutting it (no pu n intended) for them.  They need to rebel.  Some aren't rebelling, but have these sensations that they can't explain, so they try to find a way.  Some take on the lifestyle of what they want or wish to be (I have run into my share of wannabe vampires, this one fat dude and his skinny friend I'll never forget because they were trying to make fangs and sell them).  Some I believe are truly called in this direction, some seek it out, all find themselves in a dark place.  Some weren't meant to be there, and grow up into your average human.  Some, well, who knows.  But for those that talk about elders, and age-old secrets, blood thirsts, get your noses out of the fiction and educate yourselves.  For being these great beings, some of you are really stupid, which is a shame because it seems like there are some really smart people on here, as well as some who really need the help they are seeking out on ths board.

    And why be immortal without a sex drive....that's no fun....!

    is there a difference between human and animal blood bsides taste when feeding?  You recommended meat for this person.  If she were a real sanguinarian vampire, would that make it all better, at least for a while? 

    I have studied psychic vampires a small bit while studying spiritual events of the brain.  Konstantinos has a very good book on it, I see that you mentioned him in your reading list.  I also came across a book by a Lady D that talks a bit about the psychic vampires.  They simply feeed off of human energy.  Sometimes for the purpose of saving a life, a person can supposedly unwillingly turn into a psychic vampire, giving themselves enough energy to heal. 

     James and Nick, do either of you think that this relates to vampires as you know them? I didn't mean to leave Hayley out, but her post said that she was busy.  Anyone can answer my questions.  I am just posing my questions to the two of you because it is your earlier posts that have spawned my questions.

    You cannot dscuss without debating.  In any group of people, there is a difference of opinion.  If all opinions were the same, then there would be no need for most people in the world.

    Please educate yourself about world religions, do not throw around terms that you don't know how to define.  When you do that, it only speaks to how little, not ow much, you know.  The myth of the vampire has been around a very long time, and it is always been associated with the religion of the particular society it comes from.  Your board ties vampirism and satanism together.  Where have you seen that before?  They are not the same thing.  It sounds that you are just a young, lost kid, looking for somewhere to belong.  Maybe you do have this 'calling'.  I know that it is real, as someone very close to me is very much a part of this vampire thing (and why I try to seek out as much knowledge as I can....to educate myself).  If you are not just some lost kid finding his way in the world, then educate yourself.  What background do you have?  Where did you learn all of this?  Can you answer the original poster's questions regarding symbols?  What are your morals and what lines will you not cross (don't answer that for me but for yourself).  What beings have you met and do they have names? Do they scare you or do you scare them?  I asked the questions I asked of You, James, and others because I want to be able to understand my dear NightDweller better, to not always be an outsider.  But I have previously educated myself.  From what you portray here, this fiscade, it seems like a teenage stage, not a calling.  What I am saying is that if this is the real deal for you, you better shape up and sharpen your tools (your brain).  Or maybe vampires are a sincere interest for you and you got lost in the myth and lore.  I have done this myself in my studies.  It is normal and sometimes simply fascinating.  Don't be afraid to simply like something.  I wanted to post to your board, but you said on there: no debate.  As I said, it is hard to discuss without debate for anyone with half a brain and a quarter of worthwhile opinion.  I will be creating my own blog on here shortly regarding religious studies.  I invite you to take a look sometime.  There are some great books (I have actually read some that James2009 posted, however for different reasons).  I can't fully accept that this is just who you are because of the way you portray it.  I know that you are just 17, but f this is who you really, truly are (and I'm not in complete doubt), then you need to do more than recite things from Nod.  Seek guidance always, because as another poster said, you can never learn too much, or always need to keep learning (maybe that was a different blog I read, I dunno because there are so many posts...).

    Keep looking, keep learning.  Nothing wrong with bein who you truly are, especially when you figure it out.

    Where do you come up with this stuff, where do you get off telling me I’m messing with someone’s free will, and where did I say in my post this would cure anything I said it may help and if it does maybe she should provide us with a little more input. If you knew my thoughts or had experience on the topic you would understand why I suggested what I did.  You are right about one thing you can impact a person’s status, and you are starting to really impact mine.

    On your board you say not to debate anything, all you have done here is DEBATE from the time you came here. I have also read the Book of NOD, and the DARK Lady.     Yes indeed I know very well what the Wiccan beliefs are and I respect that but do not follow that to a certain point.. Could you explain to me what paganism is.. I do not follow any other concept of beliefs except Vamirism.. Sorry but I do not know of paganism

    James, No offence but I have no interest what's so over on Paganism.. Although I know its the practice of 'non-believers'.. But I think that athiests, paganism, wicca and satanism and vampirism are all completely different.. You say Wicca comes under a branch of paganism.. Then why is paganism represent non believer and In Wicca you believe in spells, enchantment (wizardology pretty much)(the practice of witchcraft and potions and shit).. Why is this all related when they refer to so many different meanings and beliefs?..

    I still do not get the whole concept of religions for I don't follow Christianity, paganism, satanism or any of the like.. Although I've had a particular interest in vampirism as a religion but have gained little knowledge of it.. I believe in my own kind of religion.. Yes I believe there is a god and his son jesus and yet I believe there is the devil, satan and his son. I believe in sacred rituals I have yet discovered.. I beleieve in sacrificial bloodletting as well as particular recitation from sacred texts.. Is this not all religion is.. I'm sorry but can you not see that I have very little knowledge of religions as such but can you see why I do not.. I was not born into a religious family.. But what I am doing is the most religious I can get.. I believe I am vampire as do I practice vampiristic rituals and such.. As a fellow christian believes they are a follower of their religion and likewise do particular acts and readings from "the bible" or torah or such.. In this case I believe what I believe in is my own personal religion is it not?

    Of course you are correct in saying that it is your own religion, but you gave definitions that were wrong.

    It is amusing (to me at least) that even in the face of obvious superiority (in the sense of knowledge on certain subjects) some people refuse to acknowledge the fact. It's what I like to call the cheating spouse syndrome. Even though they know they have been found out they stick to their little web of increasingly complicated lies (in this case, bullshit), finding some kind of comfort in their belief that the other party cannot absolutely prove something incontrovertibly so therefore if they stick to their story there will always be doubt. This is wrong and only the liar (bullshitter) cannot see that it is.

    I am Pagan too, but I choose not to reveal specifics regarding my path of paganism for it is of no real interest to many. I shall not get involved in this discussion regarding the definition of pagan for it is not required. The definition of anything can easily be researched if one merely takes the time to look. Those that do know require no explanation from me and those that don't know don't deserve to be told.

    I continue to read this thread for reasons which escape me. Maybe morbid curiosity, maybe amusement, but the degeneration into nothing more than a petty squabble is considerably off-putting. I can imagine somebody stumbling into this thread with some ideas of asking questions or debating (and Angel is quite correct in her statement that a discussion is often also a debate due to people having differing opinions) some points, only to find upon reading the last third of the thread that it has in fact strayed from the points (something I was accused of (That still makes me smile) quite incorrectly for the sake of some attempt at showmanship) and they promptly leave.

    I do not direct this message, but would urge certain posters to consider things that have been said and go against the grain and be honest with themselves. If it is too hard to admit a failing to another, then at least learn to admit it to yourself.

I'm saying this in hopes that you can reflect slightly on yourself. Part of being an adult is being mature. To be so, you have to accept and learn from those around you. Never will you be one hundred percent correct. No one ever is. However, you can progress yourself to be ninty-nine percent. Even then, you have no be conscious of the fact that you aren't right. Especially when it comes to the topic of religion, no one is ever right. It's views, beliefs, opinions, and overall what feels right.
    You've been burning a lot of bridges, Nick, and I really hope you can see and feel the flames because I know you don't believe anyone but yourself at this point. Forget the honey and vinegar, you've brought a whole bottle of gasoline to torch the flies. I'm not going to beg you to look over your words from a different perspective.     I can tell you all that vampires do exist, and your right, not like in the horror movies and comic books, but real every day vampires in society. We know many families from the past who are residing in this life.
     
    I myself are a vampire. I have a family and children. My husband and I were both born in 1886. Our children were born in 1905, 1906 and 1909, our souls are of this age, but in our current life, we are 32, and the children are 13,12 and 8.
     
    We live and breath the same air as humans, we run our daily lives on similar levels, my children go to school, and my husband works. My children are beyond the current school levels as they have presented there before. My husband is a genius at his job as he has also had many years of so-called practice.
     
    Our friendships are very similar also. We have many human friends that we are in contact with, but also many family friends who have travelled the same life path as us. We know another "vampire"when we see one. The horror movies are correct in one concept, its a certain smell and even a deep psychic ability.
     
    We have all travelled this earth trying to fit in and at the minute were settled.  We look for no disruptions or evil thoughts about our kind.  People will always fear what they do not understand.
     
    I can only sense one other true vampire on this site, you know who you are and I know you know me.

    i must say one thing before im bound by my teachers words so i must ask to get permission to do things im sorry for the trouble but it was a promise i made and intend to keep. My teacher was in fact a vampire and it is to my understanding that you all hold a great deal of information. I would like to know if you have heard of any type of reasearch on your species? Because regretably i went somewhere i should not have gone and know i have come back with something i dont intend to keep. The forest still hides secrets that i didn't understand there were stories of them but i did not heed there warnings i lived in germany once when i was 12 and ran into a rathier nasty beast. i care not to name because i feel as though it is not something to bring up but this beast gave me a gift as you would say my life in one peice. i as the unintellegent one and came back to that place to learn about it and lost a part of me and gained another something. that night i was alarmed by a long moan in the shadows to find the creature lurking and a bite on my arm still ozzing with fresh blood as though it bite me and stoped to savor the meal to come but did nothing. to this day i still barly fight the urge to just bite someone because they pissed me off or they looked good to eat or they smelled revolting. im sry i dont know where to start. any advice on where to start

    My fascination is with the people who are believing this. It's on the internet. Lying, playing out fantasies and being an idiot is incredibly simple here. You will never know whether you are being mocked or taken seriously, though the former's more likely.
    Yes, I think the things said on this page are absurd. Yes, I was making fun. No, I don't enjoy making fun of people, I enjoy watching people make fools of themselves. Now before you say anything along the lines of me needing to get a life or some such, I found this page whilst looking up symbols for a reference sheet I was working on at the time, read it, laughed, and shared it with my friend, who also laughed. If having a giggle is a waste of time, so shoot me, I'll waste my time. Now, I suppose I'm looking forward to a debate. I find it hard to voice my opinions IRL, or in places where people recognise my username, so this could be fun, if you're willing to state your arguements in believing in vampires, or whatever (And no, you can't say "I am one" as an arguement), and believing what people on the internet are telling you.

Well then it's possible for vampires to exist.. I'm ending my argument there.. The existence of vampires living is shear possiblity right?.. So.. Now I've proven that it's possible.. No one can disagree of what's possible..

    She, thanks. And no, there's not. I am in no way having at people who genuinely believe it, because you're right, anything is possible. I am laughing at the people who give the most rediculous statements and the people who believe the worst of the worst. I question the existance of the 'vampires' we're talking about as I do any deity or religious figure.

    That's a very good point, and I thank you for that. I suppose it's the same way everyone has a different view of God; some think you have to follow everything in the Bible to the letter, others simply follow him as guidance-- and both these types of people may feel disdain towards the other. A sad thing, really.
    It's a shame the topic of beliefs is something that will never come to a civil close.

    I have noticed how off-topic this has become, and I aplogise for continuing, but it's hardly salvagable now, is it? :P

    Why is it so hard to believe?  Most likely because of movies is my best guess, that and the probability that you were told 'there are no monsters' when you were a child.

    When your parents, or grandparents (depending on your age now) were young, they no doubt read science fiction stories about Jet aircraft, rockets going to the moon & such and no doubt dismissed it as fantasy. How bizarre that we now have those things.

    You are told there are xxx million stars in the sky and you believe that without question, yet have never actually counted them for yourself. Christians believe what has been preached (see programmed) without question and yet without any solid evidence to support it.
    What about ghosts? Do you believe in those? It's OK to believe in those because you are told they are harmless, just spirits of the dead, maybe even family members and that's not such a bad belief is it?

    There are many things I have not seen with my own eyes, does this mean they don't exist?

    Do you expect vampires to log in here and say 'Actually yes we do exist'?  That would surely be met with the same response as we see here.
     I see people here asking to be turned etc. Is that some strange challenge to prove that they exist? What if you are wrong? It's a pretty big gamble wouldn't you say?

    I'm curious as to what you believe a Vampire would gain from exposing themselves (so to speak) on an Internet forum. If a creature has lived for several hundred years in virtual secrecy, what makes you so special that they would suddenly join this site and declare their reality?
     If they exist and choose not to expose themselves, what difference does it make to them whether you believe in them or not? If they are real, you will likely never know anyway and they will carry on regardless of your beliefs when you are dead and forgotten, amusing themselves no doubt with the next generation of 'educated' disbelievers.

    Ah yes, Twilight and the sparkling Vampires. As I say, therein lies part of the problem when it comes to belief, movies. They are good entertainment (I love a good vampire movie. Though please note that I'm not saying Twilight is one of them.), but as is common people have trouble separating fact from fiction. If people would only take some time to research & study subjects that they profess to know so much about without even going as far as checking recent history, much of the 'debate' could be dismissed.

    I find that to be a very satisfactory response to the subject of 'having the same issues again'.
