It sometimes looks huge, but just how big is soulcast, really? I was scrolling through the users list this morning trying to get a feel for how many actively participating bloggers we currently have here in this community. It made me nostalgic to see a lot of names that I haven't seen in a long time... people who posted actively for a short or long period of time and then were gone. Many others I'd never even heard of. Yet throughout the ten months or so since I started blogging here, there are quite a few who have been constant and with whom I've developed relationships of one sort or another. And there are many new arrivals that I hope will stick around for awhile.
Without making a detailed count, I estimated that there are probably less than 200 people actively blogging in this tightly-knit community at this time. Does it seem about the same to you? I have to admit, there are times when I click on a username that I've never seen before, only to find out that this person has been actively blogging and interacting for even longer than I have, but somehow, we've never crossed paths. That never ceases to amaze me. It would be more understandable if there were more active bloggers here.
So, what's your estimate? How many of us are out there?
If you're new to soulcast, or if you've been here for a while, but you and I haven't crossed paths before, please drop a note and let me know you're here. I promise to stop by your blog and see what you're all about. :)
