Lisa Williams is a spiritual medium.  She's the real thing.  Nothing phony about her.  If you have On Demand, you can find her under the category of shows for women because she is on Lifetime.  I loved her first season last year.  Her second season starts in October.

You have to see her for yourself.  If you don't sense her sincerity and the sincerity of the people she does readings for, you aren't any good at reading people.  Lisa is not an act.  She is exactly what she says she is.

Of the hundreds or thousands of people who claim to be able to communicate with the dead, I guess that 99% of them are not what they claim.  Lisa is.  She's a walking miracle.

If you are completely convinced that she's a phony, all that means is that you are a hard head who doesn't read people well at all, and that you overrate your own intelligence.  Lisa Williams has conversations with the dead.  She's a rare gem.

LF...what is going on between you and me lately??? We seem to be on the same wave lenght...lol.....First with Prince now Ani then the closeness-age issue and now even Williams??....:-D

I was watching her show just last day...

First i have to tell you..i am very, extremely skeptical about this whole matter...spirits, ghosts, mediums....but i always leave a door open...i am open minded....so why shouldn't apply it here too?

So i did start to watch with my usual smirking face..

oh great... another one of them i thought.... ..but then.....like you said...i couldn't find one single moment in which i had the sensation she was a phony.

She seems truly out there. She acts like she is the real deal.

What hit me was the episode in which she was talking with a beautiful, young, elegant widow of a soldier who got killed in Iraq.

The young widow was so somber, reserved, almost reluctant at the beginning and at the end she was melting in tears of disbelief listening to the amount of intimate details Williams was giving her...her mother was at her side and on her face you could read the concern about her daughter's well being....

I have to admit it.....it gave me goosebumps....and if that was a staged thing they should give Lisa and her customers an Oscar for best interpretation.

I love the way Lisa speaks to the spirits.  One time there were two spirits confusing her because they were both speaking at the same time, from the same place, right next to each other.  So Lisa interrupted them and said "You - here.  You - there."  She pushed them around and told them where to locate themselves.  That cracked me up.

Another time, Lisa entered a room with a particularly nasty and angry spirit, a trouble maker.  The spirit said to her "Come in, let's play."  Lisa was annoyed.  She snapped back "You don't play with me!"  Then she stepped into the room and took over the situation, getting the info she wanted and making the spirit be good.

Does Lisa get you in tears?  She does me.  When the really sensitive moments come out, when there is such a message of love from the spirit, I won't say I scream out WAHHHHHHH, no not exactly, but tears do come.

My two favorite spirit mediums are Lisa Williams and Rosemary Altea.  Aside from them two, and John Edwards, and George Anderson, and maybe Van Praagh (not too familiar with him) I think the rest are for the most part a bunch of phonies.  I'm not a fan of Sylvia Browne, Beatrice Eadie, or the author of Conversations With God.  I think I could make up a book that is better than anything those three came up with, straight out of my imagination.  I think Sylvia and the CWG author are straight up phonies, conscious liars, and I think Beatrice Eadie is delusional.

I recommend Soul Signs by Rosemary Altea and Journey Of Souls by Michael Newton.

I have not heard of this woman before. I do know John Edwards though. Well, I don't KNOW him, but I've heard of him. I find things like this really fascinating and I definitely believe it's possible to communicate with the dead. And to also pull information out of someone's head too. If these people are thinking about something their loved ones would say, it's possible for the medium to extract that out of their minds too.

I actually watched this show that had a psychic/medium on it and they did an infrared camera that shows hot and cold. And you could actually visualize the psychic pulling energy out of the person they were talking to. It was amazing. And everything they said was accurate too.

Interesting concept, that it could be a form of reading people in some cases.  As for Lisa, she's in a league of her own, or a league with herself and Rosemary Altea and maybe nobody else.   She's funny too.  My theory is that long long ago, back to the days of prehistory, someone like Lisa Williams was born, able to communicate with the dead, and she sparked a rash of imitators who couldn't do it but became illusionists.  Now out of several billion people on Earth, there are a handful of people like Lisa and Rosemary who can actually do it, and there are hundreds or thousands of people who are just outright fakes or are kidding themselves.

Maybe it is a talent that only one person out of 500 million can achieve, but when the Earth's population grows into the billions, some of these rare people are bound to be born.  Law of averages.

This is extremely interesting! I will definately check into her. I have to say I am a non-believer but I do check into all possibilities when presented to me. I lean more to, the dead are dead and something else is pretending to be the personalities or spirits we want to believe are talking to us. But I have bounced back and forth on my beliefs when new evidence is presented that conflicts with what I believe.

The most impressive thing about Lisa is her demeanor.  If someone wrote a script exactly like the way her shows play out, I could be cast in one of the roles, someone could be cast as Lisa, and we could stage a fairly believable skit.  But you have to see Lisa.  She's so REAL.  She makes your intuition decide that she's the real thing.

I think Sylvia Brown is 100% full of it and gives "New Age" a bad name. In fact, I was so turned off by people like Sylvia Brown (or is it Browne?) I discredited the ability of speaking to the dead altogether. But, if Lisa Williams (we are tricked in so many ways today it's hard to know what is real and what isn't) is real I think she is pretty amazing. I'd like to believe she is real. I just still don't buy the deal with reincarnation. I don't want to look at my son and think it is my father. If that is the case then none of us are really us, we're someone else...don't like that idea. If Betty Eady is correct there is no such thing as reincarnation...who do you believe???
  • lfbno7 said on Oct 27, 2007....
I think Sylvia Browne is a complete phony.  I think Beatrice Eadie is deluded and I threw her book in the garbage.  I think Lisa Williams is the real thing, exactly what she says she is.  I think John Edward is also exactly what he says he is.  I think that reincarnation is real, and more important to me than that, I think that Heaven is real.  I think that "none of us are really us, we're someone else".  You put it so beautifully.  I love that idea.

You are your thoughts, memories, attitudes, opinions, relationships, and none of these things are composed of matter, of atoms.  None of these things weigh anything or take up any space.  You are pure energy.  That's all you ever were and all you could ever possibly be.  Anything that takes up space and has weight and is composed of atoms is just a stage prop for this school of hard knocks that we have signed on to.  You cannot see yourself in a mirror, because mirrors only reflect the stage props.

I watched Lisa Williams a couple times and didn't find her that amazing or different from any of the others. I don't believe any of them anymore.
  • lfbno7 said on Oct 27, 2007....
You don't believe in my Lisa?  She's so cool.  I love the way she dresses.  I wonder who does her wardrobe.  Let me guess.  She does her own.

You know the old saying...beware of false prophets...in the end times, the world will be full of them. They're popping up everywhere. John Edwards was proven a fake. I saw something about it on tv and something about him refusing to be interviewed about it. Sylvia was tested and proven fake and is basically out to start her own religion and make money. It's all a load of malarkey. And trust me, I'm disappointed.
  • lfbno7 said on Oct 28, 2007....
Only 99.47% of it is malarkey.
  • anonymous said on Nov 04, 2007....
She's a big fake! She's just like every other fake psychic. They are good con artists. I don't understand all these fake loons. She brings someone in and can INSTANTLY connect with their loved ones. Why doesn't she help all these missing children, cold cases, why doesn't she use her talent for something REAL? Not all these fake, omg my garage is haunted, tv episodes. All these people pre screen and pre select who they are going to interview. It's all bullshit. I wish it was real. But unfortunately it is not. I know if I had that talent, I would use it to help REAL people. And not sit my fat ass behind a camera, selecting a few pre screened individuals. It's disgusting!
  • lfbno7 said on Nov 04, 2007....
It's possible. Unless you are actually there, you may be missing out on a lot of what's going on. I agree it's possible she's a complete fake. But if so, she's the best damn actress I've ever seen, putting Katharine Hepburn to shame, and so are many of her clients. I don't think that's likely. I think I spotted Sylvia Browne pretty accurately, and the person who wrote Conversations With God. I don't fall for every phony. But Lisa appears to be sincere, and so do her clients, so I think she's probably what she claims to be. It would be impressive if she started solving cold cases. I don't know why she doesn't do that. I don't know how demanding we can be with spirits. Maybe we just take what they give us, and don't start making demands on them. When we start generalizing about "all", we might be getting too overconfident in our ability to analyze it. Clearly "almost all" are phonies. I'm not willing to take that extra step from "almost all" to "all". Maybe somebody can actually do it. There are how many billions of people in the world now? If one out of a billion can do it, she's that one. I don't doubt there is a lot of pre-screening and selection going on, and though that argues against her, it doesn't absolutely prove she's a fake. If she does it, she does it, and she seems to be doing it.

Let's all email lifetime tv and ask them to do a show based upon Lisa WIlliams helping solve cold case files. That would be interesting. The real thing. Americas psycic challenge on lifetime is an interesting show too. I would love to know how much of it is real and fake.(while still in this body!)

Lisa is my favorite medium on TV. She does readings like my personal favorite in person medium Georgia O'Connor in upstate New York. They both speak directly to the dead with a simple calm manner. They are all about "love".
  • lfbno7 said on Jun 09, 2009....
In a world full of frauds, it's hard to turn off your skepticism and allow for the possibility that someone is for real. From everything I've seen of Lisa, she's for real. Meanwhile I'm convinced that Sylvia Browne, Esther Hicks and Beatrice Eadie are complete frauds. Lisa's abilities seem too good to be true, but since we don't have information about the afterlife we can't shoot down the possibility that she's for real. The evidence she presents is amazing and her credibility is as high as it can be. She's a miracle.
