  Hi, I had it Twice......... My roommate on Kibbutz had told me that she seemed to spend her nights floating over a concentration camp --with many other out of body souls. I asked her to try to take me with her. We were both interested in psychic things and I was later in a paranormal club on another kibbutz where we did many experiments with telepathy, clarivoyance etc...................................................But my out of body experience happened of itself: I found myself 'flying' over the newly planted field of apple trees, about 2 miles or so north of our kibbutz living quarters. It was dawn and the view was really beautiful. I was able to see all around the area, including the neighboring kibbutz which was situated after a precipice. I suddenly realized that I was out of my body and I freaked out. I had read that there was a thin type of cord that connected the astral body to the physical body and I thought "What if it gets cut. I'll be dead". At that moment I was pulled back as if on a big rubber band and fell into my body. I could feel the spot --known as the stomach chakra--where I had entered and I felt first relieved and then very angry at myself that even without a body I was still a coward............................................... The only other time I was out of my body was in a beginning death experience and that was very different, and when I was revived at that time I was disappointed to be back and alive. I was revived at the point when I was moving very quickly away from this plane, and everything was just beginning to form a tunnel like road behind me. ................. I am just the same neurotic person in and out of my body. ... If you are interested in literature, try British publications from the 19th century. They were into lots of experiements and wrote them up for publication. I can't remember the exact names...The Irish have an old art called something like Excancar, someone tried to interest me in that and it has out of body experiences as part of its practice. ...Many cultures used this out of body travel, read the Castanada books for a starter... Don't let the naysayers stop you from exploring a very real and interesting field of experiences, but you don't necessarily have to experiment on yourself.
