I didn't want to wake up this morning. I just wanted to sleep! I think I am still exhausted from the trip. Seriously. I have never gone on a plane for more than 5hrs and 13hrs for me is freaking long! I couldn't sleep on the plane ride home. Mainly because I was thinking about MSHM and how much I missed him. Also, I was excited to come home. On top of that, cabin crew kept popping out with "Do you want tea or coffee? How about some juice?" - every 30 mins! How many times does one person really need to drink on a plane??
So with all that, I didn't get any sleep and up till today, I still need some catching up to do. Sleep, that is. I can't wait for Wenesday to end.. then I will be able to sleep throughout Thursday morning as it is my day off and Friday's a public holiday here! Yippee!!!
I posted some photos I took while I was in Cape Town. I started developing interest in photography after I saw photos my brother took of old buildings, portraits of his wife and also photos of beaches, sceneries and nonsense he took when he is free. My 3rd brother is really creative. He is one of the most talented person I have known in my entire 20 yrs plus of being on this earth. He takes awesome pictures and he can even draw really well. So I took up after him, I guess. People say photography is a talent - it's either you have it in you or you don't. I'm not too sure about that. I think I take good pictures but it's because my brother taught me so. It's all thanks to him and I intend to learn more techniques.
One of the photos I took was the day I went to check out the Jackass penguins. I took a few shots but only a few came out right. I was told that the Jackass penguins are the only species that colonise on the African continent. They were adorable bunch and it was sad to know that because their meat is edible, Jackass penguins were mercilessly hunted and due to that, they are near extinction. You'll be surprise that people live within the vicinity! Jackass penguins are quite friendly and during warm summer time, people get to splash in the sea with them! Mr. Brahm said he swam with a few and even raced with them... (okayyy....). I think that's pretty awesome but I don't think hunting them down is great.
I really hope all these huntings on endangered species will stop. Be it with the penguins or the white tigers. It's really sad... it really brings me down when I watch the news on all the endangered species. Sometimes I wish I don't give a damn so I won't feel down but I can't help it...
