Can you show examples of intentional dishonesty from a liberal member of the press or media? If you can, here's the place to do it.
In the last few months we've had some spirited discussions of media bias and these have often led to comparisons between Bll O'Reilly of Fox News and Dan Rather, formerly of CBS News. O'Reilly has been shown to have broadcast fabricated information on his television and radio shows, usually to show liberals in a bad light, but without any penalty from Fox. Dan Rather also fabricated information that was injurious to President Bush, but he was subsequently fired from CBS.
These discussions have led me to wonder about media bias and media dishonesty, which are two separate things. We all have our biases. I may prefer dark comedies over romances when I choose a movie to watch, but whichever one my wife selects when it's her turn, I'm going to watch the movie anyway. In this case I have kept my bias to myself. On the other hand, if I hold a liberal bias and try to spread the word that Alberto Gonzales was a pederast (which is no doubt completely untrue), then I'm being deceitful in my attack on someone with whom I have a political disagreement. Do you see the difference here? Good.
So, Bloc has done a good job of identifying several instances where Bill O'Reilly has been deceitful in his attacks on liberals and their policies. The discussion in the thread where he did this, called Bill O'Reiily has no inegrity, led to a discussion of the fairness of singling out O'Reilly. I then asked for examples of similiarly dishonest behavior by liberal journalists.
And this is the place to put forth your examples.
Please, let's make this a civil discussion. In order to be able to judge the truth (or deceit) in an example, we need links to the original source or a You Tube clip. It won't add anything to the discussion if you just mention a news story from the past without giving the original source beecuse we won't be able to judge for ourselves. So please, original sources for all claims please.
It's your turn.
