Someone at work was putting awards on her bulletin board. The awards were won by her dogs. There were pictures of them running through obstacle courses. My favorite ones were when the dog was on a seesaw, experiencing the shift in balance. That must be an interesting experience for them. Those dogs running through obstacle courses and doing tricks reminded me of us, at work, dealing with obstacles, running through our own obstacle courses, dealing with situations. Are we earning prizes back home?
Ever watch the Academy Awards or other awards on tv? When I watch them, which is rarely and only for a few minutes, they actually get on my nerves. Where are the awards for best brain surgeon? Why do we only award actors and singers? Their heads are already far too big. And their contributions aren't the most important in the world.
