It has occurred to me that I have 27 subscribers, most of whom I have never heard a peep from.  I wonder, what drives you to subscribe to someone here on soulcast?  For me, it's usually someone who makes me laugh, blogs consistently about something interesting (like lfbno7's music posts), or if I find a thread of commonality-- a similar lot in life, so to speak.  I wonder why some of these 27 people have subscribed to me, and I often still can't figure it out when I read their blogs.

So friends, what makes you want to subscribe to someone?

I'm so glad you like them.  Here's what I do.  Whenever I notice someone new subscribe to me I just click on them too.  That's like how I am in "real life" too.  If someone likes me, I like them.  I'm not the least bit assertive when it comes to that.

"Peep" Cake, I haven't been commenting much anywhere lately now that school has started and I am busy teaching.

Hmmm..what makes me subscribe to someone. Honestly, I subscribe when something someone says intrigues me, interests me, or makes me laugh.

I scan through a couple of someone's entries, and if I like them or feel compelled to do a lot of commenting on them, I'll subscribe. Really most of the reasons you describe-- common interests, humorous entries, etc.
