  evil doesnt exist without the presence of good and vice versa. Augustine explains it perfectly. He's practically saying that if there was no good, we could not know about evil and evil is measured according to good. they both go hand in hand, they co-exist in harmony. So, we can't say "there is not good in this world", or "this world only knows evil" because it has to be measured to something. Evil is when you have less good and vice versa. therefore, evil does exist.

  Yes evil does exist, and no one need to deny that it is within each one of us. That is why we need God who is good all the time to help us out of and overcome evil.

  I think from the past few days in terms of homicidal maniacs attempting to board United States bound aircraft from the UK, it is testimony that pure evil exists. It goes beyond religion. I think it extends to a person's willingness to subject and control the fate of other human beings when their own lives have been a failure. The search for infamy (sic), for all the wrong reasons. God Bless this Earth as it is in the hands of complete nutcases. I pray that the day will come in my life time when people would actively think about the past and learn from it.

  Yes, definitely. But evil is not just about moral laws being broken, but evil exists in the person of the devil who may be behind some human evil behaviours.

  I know it is true because as a pastor I have dealt with the evil forces personally.

  That is why we all need God to help us.

  God sets the standard so that we know the boundries between good and evil.

  In this post modern world philosophy where everybody is entitled to his or her own opinion, and that is parlayed as 'truth', evil cannot be discerned in many instances. It becomes your standard vs mine. So lawlessness ensues.

  But if we believe in God and adhere to His Commandments, we can differetiate between evil and good, because God has set that standard for us. This is to protect us and to free us from evil.

  I have also done deliverance of people from the demonic forces. This is real and these forces seek to destroy us through bondages and control. Sometimes they manifest in addictions and their resulting behaviours.

  Evil exists and they come to us in insidous ways; eg. through playing computer games such as warcraft, or through watching movies such as Harry Potter. While they seem harmless, in reality it is the unseen evil demonic forces teaching the unwary to open demonic doors into their lives.

  May you have the wisdom to know the difference.
