Everyday, our Soulcast Community is growing by leaps and bounds. According to SoulCast, there are as many as 15,000 logged in. As new members are being added to our list, everyone is being encouraged to write their first blog.

Keep in mind however, that our Soulcast members are highly interactive. No one will care to read your blog if you don't return the favor. Others go as far as saying, if you read mine then I'll read yours. This is why you have the subscription section, the who's reading who list. You can check out soulmates who are tuned into you. As many subscribers as you can get to read your post, the better. It's also an interactive way of making new friends, go try it.

On your lefthand side is where the list of our most popular members are. Don't despair if you still can't find your name on it. It only takes one interesting blog piece whether fiction or real to make it to the popular members lists. Everyone here knows the story of Sithborg on how just one controversial blog got him to be noticed by everyone. Go check his blogsite.

Any topic that interests or concern you is fine. Remember: Just one blog on any explosive topic or weird issue is all it takes to be noticed by everyone. You'll soon discover that Soulcasting is similar to the CQDX hobby of the Ham Radio days. There's one big difference though, anything you write here is left as a post to be read by everyone. Back in the radio days, it's even harder, words said are only heard at the moment they were uttered by those who were just tuned in at that precise moment in time.

However, a word of caution: Anything you write here can be used against you, as in if the bloggers didn't like it, you'll surely be deluged with their debatable comments underneath.

These blogs aren't limited by time and space. It doesn't matter if it's a blog you've written a month or just five minutes ago, as long as the topic is hot, it will be read and the bloggers are certain to react and interact. If you're lucky, you can even get unsolicited comforting advice from well-meaning Soulcasters. The Adsense money making part is a blogger bonus that remains to be seen.

For more tips on how to write a successful blog that gets many hits, check out the blog sites of Hunter and Silverwhisper and you'll see what I mean. The more popularly gifted Soulcasters of today may well probably be the great authors of the bestsellers of tomorrow. Welcome everyone, let the blogging competition begin. :-)

It turns out, FD, that I had already read this post of yours... but read it again, on your suggestion. Thanks a lot for the tip and I'm already thinking of a very explosive subject I could write about. (muahaha) Oh well, I'm off to write something.

Justop, I visited your site and read some of your posts. IMHA (Im my honest assessment) you're a potential budding book writer as you have a personal point of view which is quite interesting to read when it is in written form.

Thanks for tips, FD. I have one question, your comment about Ham Radio speaks of experience. Are you a Ham Operator?
  • FaithfulDisciple said on Aug 13, 2006....
Back in the ham radio days, people bonded with other people who shared similar hobbies. Not too many people had access to ham radio installations since it was regulated and one needed a qualifying license to go on the air. Per my experience, I think blogging is more permanent than ham radio broadcasting, in that whatever one has to say remains in your post for everyone to read on. Besides the interaction derived from the comments is also one on one though not on real-time, as it can be viewed by anyone tuned in.

I have my Ham License. My husband got me into it when we first got together. The Ham community is definitely growing smaller and smaller. It's actually kind of sad to me. A tornado hit a small town near me and some of the Hams from the Radio Club we were in went there to help with communications and whatever else was needed. It's sad that Ham Radio is a dying hobby. I do agree though that blogging is much more interactive. And you don't have to censure anything like you do with Ham Radio.

    Ham is superceded by Net.

    FaithfulDisciple:
I have already been reading the posts of others. I don’t think I’m doing so well at getting mine read yet, or clicks either for that matter. But, it’s only my first post and I cannot expect too much from it.

I will check out Sithborg, Hunter, and silverwhisper.

As far as your word of caution, I hope that my posts do not upset many people, but they are sure to upset a few. For those few who wish to deluge me with debatable comments, that’s ok, I am not easily intimidated.
As for those who send comforting advice, as you do, I welcome them.

Thanks for taking the time to write this and for pointing it out to me.

    Hello, FD.

Didn't know this was posted since July 25, so I hope you understand my reading it just now. You do have a point that people may return the favor. Oh well, I think it's just a matter of will to do goodwill. (was that even right?)
  • FaithfulDisciple said on Aug 24, 2006....
Welcome paidinblood, all that comes to Soulcast becomes an integral part of Soulcast. You have an online family here ready to help you around. Good luck on your first post! :)
