ok, so this is fluff....well, while reading your post I found it quite easy to spell.....
close my eyes...yep still easy...that's assuming that YOu spelt it right - I didn't check...
y'kno..it's the easy stuff that gets me...Tuesday or Teusday.....seperate or separate....desperate or desparate.....& I have to look it up every now & then to remind myself..........no kidding!!!..maybe I shouldn't be admitting that stuff.....
I'm so fuffed right now, I feel like a pillow..........
so did you learn anything new about me??? Is this one of those cocktail party experiments??? or have your eyes started glazing over as you scream inwardly...help...save me from this freak.....???>>>

quietone is one of the worst spellers here on SC I am sure!  I even had to break down and buy a dictionary (had to look that word up to spell it right) LOL
  • queenparanoia said on Aug 15, 2007....
oh crap.... i even had the hard time reading it!!! =)
  • MissMimi said on Aug 15, 2007....

You have to make sure you don't forget any of the syllables.  That's 5 syllables!  Horrors!

It's harder to say than it is to spell.  Constantinople

    Now spell:  supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

  • Actorguy said on Aug 15, 2007....
I'm a good speller but my nemesis is calender...umm callendar...calandar...Dam, I have to look that word up every time

Constandinople  I got a red line under this. Of course it is from Constantine. Here I go Constantinople. hurray And now in Icelandic Konstantínópel.
  • botoni said on Aug 15, 2007....
I ve pretty much given up on spelling. I know that it drives some people crazy to see misspelled words. As long as my point gets across what does it really matter? Well.........to me anyway. For those who my errant atttitude annoys I apologize but I likely wont correct it. Oops....attitude!

I'm glad that almost everyone here seems to think they know how to spell it.  I promised myself that I wouldn't post the answer until this made it to the featured posts page, but I see that we're already there.  Well, I think I'll hang on a little longer, until more people have had a chance to guess.

Mimi:  That reminds me of my first week living in Mexico.  I went to the feria with some teenagers, and they were testing my "Spanish" by getting me to say 'supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' (with a Spanish accent, of course).  They were amazed that it didn't even faze me.  They were even more amazed when I told them it wasn't a Spanish word (at least not originally).

Actorguy:  I'm guessing that much of your difficulty comes from eating out at Marie Callender's one too many times.  ;-)

skald:  Thanks for sharing the Icelandic spelling with us.

ali:  Somehow, the longest word in the language doesn't look so terribly long when you see it in writing, does it?

botoni:  a roast by any other name would smell as sweet...

queen:  I'll give you lessons later.  = )

quiet:  You could have fooled me.  :)

    ed:   bully for you!

    muun:  Perhaps so.
  • beyondtheveil said on Aug 15, 2007....

Constantinople is a hard word to spell.  Can you spell it?
    Answer:   I - T

My first grade teacher used to tell this joke every single day of the school year, and we would all shout out in chorus... "I -T" but I'm embarrassed to admit that it took me quite a few years to actually "get" the joke.  lol

7:  Wow, you sir, are some speller!  :)

destiny:  lol... you get an A for effort.  It wasn't that hard, though.. Constantinople is a hard word to spell.  Can you spell it?

    Answer:  I -T.
  • mom said on Aug 19, 2007....
    Thanks Kruu
  • lfbno7 said on Aug 19, 2007....
supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, even though the sound of it is something quite atrocious.  if you say it loud enough you always sound precocious.

hey, my mind is full of lots of useless info.  do you remember the crest toothpaste commercials?  when they weren't selling with pizzazz but with intellectualism?

crest has been shown to be an effective decay preventive dentifrice that can be of significant value when used in a conscientiously applied program of oral hygiene and regular professional care.

i guess the 10 year old me heard that 4,000 times until it all stuck.
  • kruuyai said on Aug 19, 2007....

7:  lol...Thanks, you just gave me an idea for my next post.  :)
